LO is almost 2.5 and we've never cut his hair. It's super long and curly now, so we often put it up in a messy ponytail. His teachers call it his little man bun, and we get so many compliments on it! We know two other boys in his classes who put their hair up. Anyone on HB?

I do that to my younger DS at home but DH would be horrified if I took him out of the house like that! His hair was so curly over the summer but now that the humidity dropped it is kind of long and straight. I still love I though and do not want to cut it!

Nope! I like DS to have slightly longer hair, but DH can't stand it. If it starts getting past his eyebrows, he requests a haircut for DS.

@MoonMoon: Ahhh! So cute! DS has super thick straight hair, so it's hard to let it grow out too long since it goes straight into his eyes. I've debated letting it grow out a few times, but feel so bad for him once it gets to that point. The baby man bun might be worth growing it out for!

@MoonMoon: @Mrs. Pen: love it, so cute!! I refuse to cut my daughters hair until she asks. It's curly and once you cut those baby curls they never come back the same! If I had a boy with curly hair I wouldn't cut it either - I'd embrace the man bun! My husband actually agrees since he saw how awful my nephews beautiful curly hair became once they chopped it.

I still can't get my 2 year old daughters hair into a ponytail, much less a bun. DH would totally not be on board though.
I have a friend who didn't want to cut her sons hair because it still had the gorgeous curls on the bottom, but she got tired of telling people he was a boy all the time.

It's interesting that so many husbands out there seem anti-long hair on boys! I'm lucky, I guess!

@MoonMoon: I am too! My little brother had curls like this when he was a kid too. He went through the kid phase of buzz cuts, but started growing it out again as a teenager. His curls came back just as bouncy and beautiful as when he as a toddler! Now he has an afro lol.
