Gosh it's a fun Friday night with no power while it is still 90 degrees. DH is working late tonight. DD is asleep and probably sweating in her sleep sack now. Bored!
Oh and I just stocked our fridge and freezer today. Sweet!

@andrea: Dooood... Just thinking about it is making me sweat. Do you have any battery powered fans or anything?

Oh my gosh! We didn't lose power, but it would not be fun if we did!

@banana: no, nothing! I feel so bad for DD but I am sure she is ok. I am not gonna wake her up to take off her sleep sack though....right? And then what if the power comes back....aaah.

@andrea: Yeah, I would wait until the power comes on cause most likely, it'll come on within the next hour or two I would think. Plus she seems to sleeping ok right now?
The longest I went without power was 4 hours once but usually it goes on within 2 hours. I remember when I had the 4-hour power outage, I was freaking out cause I had my bmilk stash in my freezer. I had to drive my stash over to my mom's house and keep it in her freezer until our power came back. So annoying!

@banana: we lost power for days last year but that was due to a hurricane. I threw out all our food along with all the stuff we had in our garage freezer. Thank goodness there was no breast milk stash!!

@andrea: I was thinking about getting like a backup generator or something. I'm always worried about the Big Earthquake that will hit California and then going without power, food, and water for weeks! Ok I'm hyperventilating now.

@banana: we got one after the hurricane! I have no idea how to hook it all up though. It is super heavy so I can't exactly drag it upstairs from the garage. Sigh. Wish DH was home! But yeah, it is a good idea to have one. It will come in handy some day!
