It seems that most companies let their employees have the day off, no dice for mine! I'm stuck at work today & there is nobody here. It's going to be a LONG Friday!! Might have to duck out early since the boss is on vacation too!

Yep! My whole department is here due to closing the financials for June. No one else is here though. The cafeteria is even closed.

Meeeeee....*siiiiigh* Not that I'm crabby or bitter or anything, given everyone else here is off. I have plenty to catch up on but absolutely no desire or motivation.
While I feel for all you it is nice knowing I'm not the only one...misery loving company & all. Heh. -
haha in my building I would say there is maybe a 1/3 of us here? And most are women who are either 1) pregnant and saving vacation time or 2) those of us that just had a baby and used all our vacation on maternity leave, so it stings a little.
I have stuff to do, but zero motivation to do it, hense me being on HB
I'm all for some chating all day long, anything to make the next 7 hours fly by!

@regberadaisy: I'm usually the same way, but right now I have no vacation, it renews at the end of the month! It's been a long 7 months without vacation days available, so I'm going to take a day off just to take a day off!

@LuLu Mom: hehe I was really excited my vacation days finally kicked in this week and I went back into positive from LO being sick on PTO. We're thinking about taking the day off for our anniversary and keeping LO in daycare.

Ugggggggggh I'm here. Balls. It is SILENT around these parts. Out pf my 4 person department there are 3 of is here but the rest of the building is EMPTY. One entire side of our hallway is dark.
Usually it's stop and go traffic, this is what it looked like today bc all those lucky bastards were sleeping (not that I'm bitter or anything )

Me....there are a grand total of 6 people in the office today. A lot of my coworkers worked last Saturday and Sunday when the Legislature was passing the budget though.

I just heard that my boss sometimes sends people home early on days like today. That's going to make today even WORSE NC what if she doesn't?! Uggggggh!!!!!

Just to make it worse, DH just texted and his boss told them to go home at noon. Extra pity party beginning in my office right now!

I am REALLY hoping we are sent home early too. Of the 6 people who ARE here, 4 of us are on the same floor with the same supervisor.
I'm thinking of running to Target on my lunch break.

Our parking garage at work has all the parking spaces closest to the entrance reserved for Presidents, VPs, etc - probably 20 or so spaces. Here's a pic of that area...

Also, when I came in this morning ... my computer was dead! IT took it a way and I have a temporary laptop but none of my files!So I'm stuck at work and can't DO any work! UGH!!!

@babyjmama: No. DH and I both work for judges. His usually lets them leave on days like this, but mine always works a full day. That's okay though. I should be using my time to catch up on work, but instead I'm catching up on HB!
