haha it is Tuesday before her party and today my husband & BIL are putting the dry wall ceiling up in the family room. My FIL will be putting the door moldings on. We still have to paint and I'm sure my husband will be installing the carpet Friday night.
Any one else under construction days before the party?!

Awwww, our house was a mess...popcorn ceilings and wallpaper were being removed so we decided to have the party at MIL's house.

Eeek! Not exactly BUT we did move 2 weekends before her party. We still have a back room to be organized.... of course we had more people walk through this room coming in from outside than the front room. =/ GL getting everything done!

My mom's entryway was under construction during a party she recently had. The handyman ripped off the wall paper but then had personal family problems so he couldn't put the wallpaper back up. Nobody seemed to notice though..... everyone is so excited for the actual party they don't care about the small stuff.

@runsyellowlites: haha, it's going. We were able to use much of the banner my friend made for my baby shower for the birthday banner. And she offered to take that on and make the chalkboard one year stat. So that's a huge load off my shoulders.
The tissue poms just aren't coming out the way I want but they still look good. Going to finish that off and work more on the personalized party hats tonight.
@artbee: not as concerned about aesthetics any more rather just more room for the guests to spread out. And the fact that we will have 6 adults and 7 kids staying here on the weekend! So an extra finished room will be helpful for sleeping arrangements.
