My LO is 6 weeks today - wow times flies! For the last week or so he has been mucousy, only during the nighttime. I've had to NoseFrida him once for the last 3 nights. I feel like its affecting his sleep. Once day time rolls around he's completely fine. Could he be allergic to something in our room? Has anyone else had a similar experience? Not sure what to do....

Both of my children had nighttime congestion as infants. We used a humidifer and the nose frida constantly. If we couldn't suck anything out with the nose frida, we used saline nasal drops to help moisten things up. Our ped told us that congestion in babies is normal because their nose canals are so tiny.

@banana: Thank you! That does make sense. We just started using the humidifier two nights ago, hopefully that will help some.

@lolabee: Hope the humidifier works! My DD is 8 months old and she just recently stopped getting nighttime congestion so she's sleeping much better. now!

Sadie snores every night. She is crazy loud. It sounds like there's stuff up there, but I can never suck anything out. The ped told me the same as @banana... it's just tiny airways.

@photojane: My DD snored too! And she was LOUD. We couldn't get any sleep because of her snoring sounds over the video monitor! She stopped getting congested recently so her snoring stopped, thank goodness.
