This is a stretch... But anyone else going to Munich for Oktoberfest?

Nope but I was there in 2010 and it was the most fun ever! I was shocked at how family friendly it was though! There's a whole family section with rides and games much like our fairs. The another section that's all the beer tents.
God, I can eat my weight in wursts and all German food. Yum.

@regberadaisy: did you dress up? We don't have a table and DH is worried we won't be able to get in to get beer.

We didn't dress up and getting a table wasn't an issue. People were so friendly you can just hop onto any table with free seats. We read to go during the day because at night (after work) is when it gets rowdy. We went 2 days in the morning before sightseeing and it was a lot of fun!!!

@littlek: We never had a table reserved or anything... I think it's almost impossible to get into the celebrity tents anyway, the ”normal” ones it depends what time but you can always ask at a table if you see free seats. I haven't been there the last two years but usually you can just buy food and drinks (incl. beer) and walk around.
I don't know what you'll be looking for, but I'd also go in the mornings or early afternoons (around noon it fills up with lunch people) in the late afternoon/evening there are almost only tourists, thieves and really really drunk and aggressive people.
