What do you mean by meh? Do you mean when you talk about it, or when she's actually there?

If you ask my LO if he wants to go do something fun (i.e. go get ice cream, go to the museum, go to a friend's house) he will almost always say, "No. I don't want to do anything. That doesn't sound fun." And he will deny having fun after the fact. But he has a great time while he is out. I think it' s just him being oppositional

Ohhhh yeah! My C is complicated in a similar way. He doesn't understand many of our reasons for doing things, so it can make activities more challenging and frustrating for all of us.

He fits my personality to a T, so I can guess certain things or ways to understand him and know that he will be more reserved. Just like E is 100% my husband and delights in everything around him.

My husband can be difficult to buy for, so one of the things that works best for him is experience gifts. Tickets to do something that he likes, rather than trying to guess STUFF.

@blackbird: I was thinking the same thing. My husband is the exact same way - he's never excited about anything and even after we do something awesome, he's just like "Yeah, it was okay" even though I know he's having a blast in the moment. He's also frustrating to shop for, which is why he always just gets clothes, haha.
