I think I have a pretty easy baby, but she has her moments...like all babies do!

People think that LO is easy. They comment on what a happy baby he is all of the time, but he is crazy at home! I like to think all babies are the same, it makes me feel better lol.

I have to do a lot to keep DD happy but she is easy compared to how DS was! She STTN until 3.5 months, she goes to sleep on her own, she loves to be worn, she has a surprisingly long attention span!
DS was colicky, never STTN the full first year and was SUCH a picky eater!!!

Frankly, after DD every single baby on the face of the planet is an easy baby. So, DS is certainly an easy baby (he's 2 years younger than DD). I don't know if he is an easy baby compared to others, but compared to DD, HECK YA! It is allll relative hahaha

ds is pretty easy going, everyone always comments on it and its def his temperant (aka, not my parenting!) . hes very laid back and happy. the only time he gets inpatient is when he is hungry (like his momma!) but he's a pretty chill baby which makes parenting easier i think.he makes me want a million more babies but watch my next one be a high needs baby.

I have to second @artbee. LO is easy as long as everything is going her way! People always say she's such a happy baby, which is true when she's entertained, but she's not mellow or easygoing. The highs are high and the lows are low!

Yes, he has been a fantastic first baby. We figure whenever our next one comes along we won't be so lucky. My husband and I are pretty easy going, so he does come by that honestly. He has a good reputation around our family since he has twin cousins that are higher maintenance (not bad, just normal).

With every baby there are bumps though- his sleep has been crap lately. We are struggling with getting back to sleeping through the night and sleeping through the night in his own crib (a couple vacations and getting sick erased all of that). We have also hit a 10 month clingy phase, we used to be able to pass him around to everyone but now he has mommy and daddy-itis.

We are extremely fortunate and have a very, VERY easy baby! She's a brilliant sleeper who puts herself down and stays down for 11 hr stretches. She's been a good eater but we're about to start solids in a few weeks so we'll see how that goes. And she has a wonderful attention span - she's happy to play on the floor or her play mat for an hour at a time and does not require constant attention from us (although we do give her a lot of attention of course!). She's also a pretty happy baby most of the time - she rarely cries unless there is something wrong or it's past her 6 pm bedtime and we're somewhere other than home.

I was a bit worried that she'd be a difficult baby as I was apparently terrible - colicky and constantly screaming for the first 6 months of my life. I'm so glad DD is the complete opposite! We are very grateful to have such an easy baby and it's not something we take lightly as we know so many people who can't say the same!

ETA: This post sounds like it's all sunshine and rainbows, but it's not! She does have her moments and she's not perfect by any stretch, but in the grand scheme of things, she has been a wonderfully easy first baby - which is probably why I have the baby itch again...and DD is only 5 months tomorrow!

i would classify Andrew as an easy baby overall (although the first week or so & this last week of growth spurting was slightly traumatic). Our nickname for him is literally Mr. Sunshine! He is full of HUGE smiles and giggles.

He naps well, goes between bottle and breast with no issue, sleeps as well as a 3 month old can - and he looovvveeess to sleep in, just like his mama (seriously. we get up for the day around 11:30-12, and it is the ONLY reason I am not a emotional sleep deprived wreck).

AND. He only poops once a day. Like, literally, could not ask for a more perfect baby

C was not an easy newborn but shes a very easy baby (most of the time, she has her moments). The first couple months... If she was awake, she was screaming but she was a good sleeper. At 3 months, she just woke up one day and was a different baby.

Now, shes super happy and laid-back. Shes not at all clingy unless she doesnt feel well. She has no separation anxiety. She always has a smile on her face. She sleeps awesome and naps great now too. I would say that we have it pretty easy.

I can imagine she wont always be like this though. She has a huge personality and she knows what she does and doesnt want, so I feel like we're in for it when she becomes a toddler.

Yeah, my child has always been pretty easy. She's very attached to me and her daddy, so it's difficult to leave her with family or a babysitter. But if she's with us, she's almost always chill. Been like that since birth. Both my husband and I were like that, so I have high hopes for other babies.

LO has always been easy. She's a great eater, sleeps well at night, always pretty happy. At 6.5 months we've never really had a meltdown. She's never cried without us knowing why she is crying or without us being able to calm her almost immediately. We've struggled with napping, but I seem to be affected my messed up naps more than she is.

DS is a great baby, rarely cries or fusses (unless he's overtired or when he got his first tooth). He's really energetic though, so he's not a baby that will fall asleep if there's something going on, like if we're at my parents' house or in a hotel room. He doesn't cry or fuss, still, but he just will not sleep, haha.

My son is 6 months and literally barely cries or fusses (only when hungry or OVERtired). He is constantly smiling and will go to just about everyone. He sleeps pretty well at night and as of a few weeks ago naps well, too.

He used to be a terrible napper. Terrible. He used to not eat well but that was a reflux/MSPI issue and we have that under control. He wasn't a chill newborn, either, and fussed more frequently until 4 months.

My family compares him to my sisters kids (she has had 1 easy baby, 2 more difficult babies).

@stargal: we have a different routine on weekdays/weekends because i have to drive DH to work but on weekends he nurses around 7am & doesn't get up for the day until 9. Quite frankly, it rocks.
