I have one and used it with DS and really loved it. BUT...I don't think it's best for a newborn. He was so tiny it didn't quite fit him right. Anyone else agree? Not sure if I should get something else or not, but the NB phase goes by so fast...we don't have any other swing or bouncer or anything.

Yes, I didn't feel comfortable using it with R until she was a little older.
ETA - she loved my parents' bouncer - a regular FP one. R was definitely in the swing more at home.

It was better for when he was a bit bigger (though I didn't use it as much as I thought I would). We kept him in the swing more when he was a newborn.

I really wanted one! but just couldn't stomach the price when other ones are essentially the same and could be used from day 1. I just wish some other ones weren't so ugly

Yes, it was a gift and only used it when he was bigger.

I used it from the start and like it. I didn't bounce him but would place him in there when I needed to work in the kitchen. He has gotten used to it and enjoys sitting in it now at 3.5 months. Oddly enough I haven't found the need to pull out the swing or old fisher price bouncer I had for DS1.

@yin: exactly this. We have used ours since DD came home. She was small in it at first, but now at 11 weeks we use it multiple times per day.

I would love one of these if we could find it used. But since we just spent $100 on the Mamaroo I can't really justify it now.
