hahahaha I used to do that all the time. But eventually he'd see me wear something and say, "is that new?" He is pretty observant and knows my closet backwards and forwards.

I DO always hide his Christmas presents in the way back of my side of the closet!!

I used to hide purchases from DH all the time but lately we’ve only been using our bank cards so that we can keep track of everything/stick to a very strict budget so I haven’t recently! Knowing that we’re both going to be reviewing the budget/our purchases is great motivation to not spend lol.

I used to when I worried about him worrying about what I was spending. Now that we have a pretty strict budget, I don't. I show him everything I bring home. It feels better this way.

Nope. He doesn't care what I buy. I don't buy anything we can't afford and it's my money just as much as his so I have no reason to.

I don't because we share a bank account. He doesn't care what I buy anyway.

I do just because I feel guilty - Hubs doesn't actually care. LOL!

Hahahahaha... I may or may not tell DH the exact price of things... we have our separate fun money so I don't really feel bad about it..

@mrs. bird: hahaha hubs and I always call each other out on our fatty impulse buys! I'm surprised we haven't started hiding them!

I don't HIDE them because he couldn't care less- but I do announce them 1 by 1.
I don't just say: "I bought 4 pairs of sunglasses today!" But I will say.."I went shopping..got a few things"...lalalala....But there is no need to know I got like 5 of the same thing in different colors:)

I don't hide but I don't show him everything. He usually will ask, so that is a new shirt huh?

@mrs. bird: I totally do this! I have a crazy sweet tooth since getting pregnant and now LO is 8 months and I always crave little treats at the end of the day. I totally hide them and sneak out a few at a time. He doesn't care but he's been on a diet and I feel bad having snacks in the house...he's lost over 35 pounds

Yes, but only with the stuff that i know is frivolous and i don't need. he ultimately doesn't care what i buy, but he'll ask a lot of questions like if i need it, or if it looks like that other similar thing that i have, or how much it cost. and i don't feel like i should have to answer those when i make my own money!

@sweetchic: love tahari shoes!! I have a pair really similar (nude patent peep toe pumps) and I was able to wear them all day and night as a bridesmaid while 7 months pregnant! They are the best.

I sometimes try to hide purchases but I always end up telling him. I am a great liar and manipulator in all other places but I just can't lie to him or hide anything... It all comes out and I just have to share with him, even if he disapproves and I end up returning stuff. plus he's the one who helps me decide what to buy... I'm such an indecisive shopper.

Usually no because the hubby does the shopping for me and I'm not a fan of shopping. However, I did attempt to hide that I purchased OPKs when the hubby first said we should start TTC so that he didn't think I was cray-cray. I eventually suggested that I should buy them and he said okay, but I already did. hehe

Totally guilty. I don't do it so much anymore but if I buy something I usually round down...say the jacket I bought was $59, I'll say it was $50. It's a really bad habit.

But I did grow up with my mom saying, "hide the bags from your dad" after we'd get home from a shopping trip! I'm not as bad as she was.
