I was thinking I could put some kid apps on it and let them use it but didn't know if I have to do this before it is disconnected or if I can still do this using Wi-Fi at home afterwards?

You can totally do this! My cousin gives his old phones to his boys. They only work on WiFi, but the boys love playing with the apps and camera. Make sure all in app purchases are turned off! Toddlers can rack up quite the bill on accident!

Yep! L now has her own iPhone. More like iPod, I guess... You can still add apps to it after you turn the service off on that phone.

Yes. DH's old cellphone acts as an ipod for our middle son. He can put his own apps on (with our approval) and not have to feel jealous that his big bro has his own ipod!

I use my old iPhone on our home wireless to play my Spotify playlist, hooked up to our surround sound speaker system. DH also uses it to listen to music when he runs (on a downloaded/offline playlist).

Thats what c will be watching on our flight next week! I bought a kid case for my iPhone 4 and downloaded a couple of apps and Daniel tiger episodes. I am hoping it will make it clear that mommys phone is for mommy, but she can play wth that one. (Wishful thinking I know!)
