I'm terrified of this, ya'll. Anyone just happen to skip it entirely? I feel like all I hear about is that after the 4 month regression things were never the same again. Ever.

We didn't go through one! We did have a few days of bad sleep when LO learned to stand up and after we moved.
Good luck!

We didn't. He decided to wait til he was a 5 1/2 months to have one......its still going on buy some babies totally skip them so don't lose hope!

We didn't really go through one at 4 months...we did wean off tr swaddle around 3 months and she was just becoming more aware in general...so she did take a longer time falling asleep for naps bc she would clasp her hands together and wave them around and it prevented her from falling asleep...but it was only a week or so and she still continued to STTN. Our big regression was 9 months...you just have to stay committed to good sleep habits and they will get back on track pretty quick...at least that was the case for us

We had one, but it wasn't that bad....sleep got whack so we swaddle weaned and put him in his crib. After that his sleep drastically improved and he started going without night wakings more and more often. Since 6 months he started going w/o night wakings UNLESS sick. He's almost 10 months and hasn't had a night waking in a month (knocks wood). Used to sleep 10 hours straight and now sometimes does 11 and sometimes goes back down after an early morning (5:30 am) feed.
There is hope, fear not!

I was petrified too, but it never happened. Not to say I never wake up, but I haven't done night feedings even with the wakeups and she pretty much goes right back down (so far, hopefully it doesn't change!!)
(ETA LO is about six months now.)

DS is five months old and has been sleeping great since 2 months. I really hope that it doesn't change.

We had a bit of one with naps, but nothing major. LO slept through the night from about 10 or 12 weeks and that never changed. There's hope!

i never heard of this until i've been on hellobee and i know at least 2 friend IRL who've told their babies slept good since 2 months of age. they never mentioned a severe regression....
L is 4 months tomorrow and so far he has been doing awesome! fingers crossed!

I thought we didn't... But them something hit us like a tonne of bricks at 6 months... And my baby hasn't slept more than 5 hours in a row since

We didn't have one (at any age) either and our daughter is almost 20 months old.

Don't hate me, but I don't think we've ever seen any sleep regressions! LO's sleep has just gotten better steadily, bit by bit.

Im not going to complain anymore. A had two nights last wk where he woke up 2x instead of sttn like he had been but has since switched to sleeping 10 hours+...just waiting for the extra two hrs we were getting.
Im a believer that regressions can be short lived! (Knock on wood)

this post was going through my head last night when L woke up at 1am! and he went to bed at 10:30pm. he usually STTN and if he doesn't, he will wake around 3 or 5. last night it was 1am AND 5am! and today he is all wacky, taking only catnaps. i reallllllly hope this doesn't last long!!! yesterday was his 4 month bday.

@highwire: My lo didn't. I'm in a group of moms that had babies a month before mine though and OMG I was worried sick about it after hearing their stories!!! We got lucky, I think.
