Not ready for DS to start walking. He's only 7 months old though

I wasn't ready either time. I didn't even want either of mine to start crawling.... Now DS, who is 17 months old, RUNS instead of walking and crawls on furniture, ugh.

I wasn't really in a rush for LO to start walking, but life became so much easier once she did! She's not difficult, but she's extremely active. I think walking made her feel more independent, so she started entertaining herself more easily and getting into less trouble.

I'm not in a rush, but if walking prevents all of these bumps and falls, I'm for it.

i was in a rush for olive because she's a second child and it's easier when both are walking. she didn't walk until 18 months! not easy carrying them everywhere for so long!

Definitely not ready or excited. He is killing me with his fast crawl. I'm screwed when he starts walking.

I'm not really in a rush for him to start walking exclusively but gosh, he's heavy!!!! He's getting harder and harder for me to lean down and pick up (especially while pregnant) and I'm kind of looking forward to the not having to carry him everywhere aspect of walking

No, I also think it will be easier when DD2 can walk, even if I have to chase her around. Hopefully she'll be pretty good, like DD1!

Like @Weagle, I have an extremely active one so I think walking/running will help her get some of her excessive energy out. She's only 8.5 months, but has already taken some steps on her own. She likes to stand without holding onto things. So I'm just waiting for the day she is confident and takes off. I have a feeling it is right around the corner.... Are we ever really ready for these milestones?
