We have been so exhausted with illnesses and the baby that I don't think we are making any plans to stay up until midnight on New Years Eve. I feel like I'm 90 years old.
Anyone else in our boat?

Our son gets up at 5am every day. There is no way we stay up and haven't for the past few years.

Me. Ideally I would like to go to bed at 9 or 10 but baby decides that right now!

I may or may not make it! DH has to work all night and I usually have a hard time sleeping when he's not here so I might be up!

Me! We're not doing anything for NYE, but are having people over for the Rose Bowl. And with LO's wake-up schedule all over the place (sometimes 5am, sometimes 9:30am) I don't want to play Russian Roullette with my sleep!

Me! It may happen, but we normally go to bed at 9/10 because LO is an early riser (5:30-6:30). We are having friends over for the evening but they have a 3 week old so I can't imagine it's going to be a rager ; )

I can't even remember the last time I stayed up until midnight! Well, maybe 2-3 years ago. If I could sleep in until 9/10 I probably would, but that's just not feasible with a baby :-p.

I sleep when LO sleeps---so we'll see! No predictions with his sleep habits:/

I'm with the others, I don't even remember the last time I stayed up. My family will be in town so I'm thinking about throwing a small daytime kid-centered party. We're Korean so I'm thinking about counting down to the Korean midnight, which I think is 11am edt. Perfect for brunch.

I doubt it, unless I'm in labor having the baby. I keel over by 10:00pm. My due date is January 7th so I need all the rest I can get.

We probably won't stay up till midnight either! We won't be doing anything, might watch some movies but that's it. New Year's Eve definitely is different with a baby!

Ha! No way, admittedly it'll bea bit awkward as we're having jests but if I stay up I'll be a broken woman the next day. DH will have to entertain on is own after 10pm.

Last year we lived in IL and wanted to watch the Times Square ball drop, but stupid us didn't realize it actually happened at 11pm in IL (duh), so we missed it. I had just got my BFP the day before and was so exhausted we said screw it, and went to bed at 11:30.

We will but that is because we are going to a board/card game party that typically goes until 2-3 in the morning. Both LO will likely sleep though since the hosts are great about offering quiet space for the kiddos that can't make it that late.

I would rather be in bed. Not a big fan of the holiday. But we are going to Asheville with friends so I have a feeling we will be out someplace. Really looking forward to being the only on not drinking all night long, going to be a long night.

It won't happen. Actually, let me rephrase that. If I try to stay up, it won't happen. If I go to bed when I'm exhausted, usually around 9, I'll probably end up waking up to go to the bathroom around 11 and not be able to fall back asleep bahaha.

Probably not. I sleep when LO sleeps and don't want to stay up and get crap sleep.

We're party animals so fully intend on raging once DD goes to bed! We will definitely be up till midnight!

@ladyfingers: Excellent point! We're usually pretty low key for NYE, so I can't imagine this year will be any different, especially with me 33 weeks pregnant and therefore tired all the time. So while I probably won't see midnight, I will certainly see something between 1-3 am for my nightly bathroom visit...and probably around 5-6 am also. Hopefully I'll sleep in between

@JessiBee: My friend invited us to a low-key party that starts at 8:30 and while very sweet, I had to remind her that I would probably be in bed by the time the party started, much less midnight when they planned to walk down and watch fireworks.

@mrsmate: That is really cute - doing a countdown at 11 am! I like it

I pretty much consistently hate NYE - way too overhyped. Pretty glad that we have a little one so I have the perfect excuse not to feel obligated to go out. Last year, being preggo, we just went ot a fancy dinner and came home to go to bed early. This year, we won't even do that - babysitters are just wayyyy too expensive/hard to find on NYE.
