I love my OB and his staff.
I'm thinking about taking something with me when I go in for my 6 week appt.
Has anyone gifted their OB? If so, with what?
I was thinking a gift basket, taking in lunch, edible arrangement.. ?

I gave my OB a really (really!) nice bottle of wine at my 6 week pp appointment. We both love booze, so it worked!

Wow I didnt give my OB anything. Now I feel bad. and I really liked her too

@Mrsbells: don't feel bad! My OB was really surprised when I gave the wine to her and said that birthing babies was gift enough itself. I got the vibe it wasn't very common to give a gift after birth.

@Mrsbells: I feel bad too, I love my OB and didn't giver her anything. I'll have to do something when number 2 comes round.

Ha, no, don't like him that much! I gave gifts to L&D, recovery staff, and my doula.

I took cookies at my last appointment. Some of my appointments were post lunch as well and I would occasionally bring in treats for the staff.

I thought about it (briefly) when I was about to pop. I wanted to give her something, but couldn't think of anything and then LO was born and I didn't have time to figure it out!

I didn't give anyone any sort of gift (nurses, OB, etc.). I had a really good experience, but I didn't feel like I should or that I wanted to give anything.

@chopsuey119: Yep-that's exactly what we did. I did an edible arrangement just like this one:
I took it and our birth announcement with me to my 6 week PP appointment. The birth announcement had a picture of my OB holding baby as well.

I felt like my Ob went above and beyond working with me on a few things- we moved out of state but I'm going to mail a card and Starbucks gift card to her and the sonographer I saw weekly.

I loved my OB! I didn't send a thing..oops. I thanked him profusely in the delivery room on his way out though.

Nope. No one got gifts, they were just doing their job.

I sent a giant cookie arrangement from Cheryl's. They're individually wrapped, so they're away from germs and can easily be tossed in a purse or pocket.

I want to do something too. She was amazing and went above and beyond what her job entails. After talking to friends about their labor experience I realized just how amazing her and her staff really were. My appointment is in two weeks but I'm thinking of taking cupcakes (:

I did. I sent a very beautiful Edible Arrangement. She loved it! I was very appreciative of everything she did for LO & I, so I had to show my gratitude.

I did, actually! I hadn't really planned on it but I was off for a week at Christmas time (WAY post delivery, 6 months!) and I made cookies and took a box with thank you cards and a birth announcement to my OB and her nurses then also to our L&D staff, lactation consultant and my anesthesiologist (he was AMAZING and I'll never forget it).

We gave our OB a nice bottle of champagne and chocolate truffles. I felt very bonded to him after LO's delivery

No, but I took the baby by to see them as my specialists weren't the ones to deliver LO. They did ask us to send a birth announcement, and we'll do that once we pick them up tomorrow.

I think an edible arrangement would be lovely! Something "healthy" as I'm sure they get plenty of chocolates/cookies.

I didn't last time but I plan to send something after Baby 2 is born! Maybe some cookies or an edible arrangement.
