Is anyone continuing to take monthly pictures after their LO turns 1? I asked DH and he said he didn't think there was a point of taking monthly pictures since LO won't be changing as significantly as he did before.

I am taking monthly pics to 2 years I think... then yearly after that. I got all 12 months in the laundry basket... so I'm hoping to keep it up as a theme and hope my future teenager will indulge his mom.

Nope, we are going to do every 6 months until school age and then every year.

We haven't taken specific monthly photos, but I take a lot of pics. The camera count restarted awhile ago, so we have well over 10k photos (prob 15 by now) from year one that I will probably group by month in their baby albums/frames. They never cooperate when I try to stage pics so I just try to get great candids. I'll definitely keep my shooting frequency up even after they turn one!

i was just thinking about this the other day (LO is 6 months) but i think we'll keep up monthly until 2, and then do every 6 months.

I have LO sit with the baby when we take monthly pictures...they are almost 16 months apart.

One of the design blogs I read Making it Lovely took monthly photos of her kids til 2. The half yearly photos. Another blog I cany remember which took first day of school and last day of school photos for her daycare tots.

We did weekly pics up until a year and tried to do monthly pics after that...but with a cross-country move we just couldn't keep up. Maybe we will do pics every 6 months!

@littlek: I never did those. I upload daily pictures onto shuttercal.com so I can see her grow throughout the year.

i'm not planning to do them past 12 months. it has been fun though, i'm glad i did them! i agree with your DH, i already can't see as significant a change in the latter months (DS is one next week).

I think after the first year I'd do once a year (for any sort of "staged" photo).
