I did the free trial and liked it, but didn't pay for access once the trial was up. I still might, but I use flickr for general photo storage (free and you get 1 terabyte). I don't care for the flickr interface, but if you're looking purely for storage rather than for nice galleries, I think it works fine. Smugmug definitely has a better look to it, though!

I used it for a year but I preferred to pay for a more comprehensive backup solution. We use Crashplan which I've recommended 1000x on the boards
That being said, Crashplan isn't meant for sharing photos with people the way Smugmug is. But we were looking for a backup solution rather than a sharing photos one.

no, i prefer to store my photos how i like it on my computer and then i use backblaze to back up everything via the cloud.
