There is a twin bed in the nursery, but I've only slept in it when LO was having rough night and needed to cosleep.

We have a twin floor bed in the nursery but we don't really use it for sleep. It's a great place to play and read though so I am really glad we have it. I suspect it will make it easier to transition her to a big kid bed too but it's too early to tell.

We have a queen size bed in there for the same reason - former guest bed. It's actually been a life saver with our rotten sleeper. The first week or two I slept in there with the baby in the RnP since our master bed is kind of high and I didn't want to climb in and out of it, and DH slept in our room and actually got to sleep.

Since then we have used it when c is having really bad nights- often I can get her to sleep in the bed with me or Dh and get a few extra hours of sleep out of her. Plus we use it for reading, getting into pjs, etc. I cant imagine not having it in there (since I don't know any other way).

I know someone who did this with a queen size bed I believe. We used to have a twin size in lo's room.

Yes, I much prefer to transition myself out of LOs room than the other way around. Plus, it allows one of us to take night duty while the other gets some decent sleep.
