DD is 9 months old and shows ZERO interest in learning to crawl. She just rolls when on her stomach. She does, however, walk assisted, and is trying to pull up on me constantly to walk. Anyone else's LO do this? If so, how long from the time they started this till they walked unassisted? She has zero balance. I'm just trying to figure out how long I have to really clean and babyproof our house.

This is like my LO at 9 months! We totally though she would bypass crawling but the at 10.5 months she started crawling like a maniac! I wouldn't worry...whether she goes straight to walking or ends up crawling in a month she will be perfect and fine!

My LO isn't crawling at almost 10 months. No walking assisted either. She just rolls everywhere!

My LO didn't crawl until 10 months, so there is still time for crawling

At 9 months DS started going backwards and then a couple weeks later he went forwards.
He never really rolled though until about 10 months. He could roll, he just never had interest in doing it.
I would start babyproofing now, before you know it she is going to be into everything.

@Ginabean3: lol I wouldn't exactly say I'm worried. My nephew never crawled, and another nephew didnt walk until 16 months, and I know it's no biggie. Just curious as to what we might expect. I'm enjoying the "doesn't go anywhere" stage!!

My LO started crawling around 7 months.

DD started crawling around 11 months and walking at 12. DS was so different, crawled at 6, walked at 10.

She started army crawling around 5.5 months and then full on walking right before 11 months.

My friend's son never crawled. He would beg her to help him walk and then started walking on his own at 10 months. Now at 16 months she's trying to teach him how to crawl a little so he can go through tunnels and things.

DS won't crawl- he butt scoots to move. Hilarious, and apparently really good for core development! Not so great for the seat of his pants, but whatever...

@NurseMommy: I voted no but I meant yes to crawling but I have 1 niece and a cousin that skipped crawling and walked early. My niece walked at 10 or 11 months and my cousin impressed everyone back in the day by walking at 9 months. No baby in our extended family has beat his record yet, he's now 32.

I thought my daughter wouldn't crawl at all. She did army crawling for months, and I thought she was entirely bypassing regular crawling. Then, maybe right around 9 or 10 months, she started crawling and pulling up, both at the same time. I do know other friends' kids who didn't crawl at all.
