Today is Lunar New Year so we are going to a family dinner with extended families joining too at my inlaw's. Looking forward to the good homemade cooking.

Both of my girls are sick and not sleeping well. My husband is also sick but is still working 12-hour days. I had my first migraine in 2 years this morning. So, I guess it's mostly bad stuff around here. I'm hoping things start to perk up this afternoon!

Something funny happened to me today -- I was going through my briefcase trying to find my checkbook and found a pregnancy test? I have no idea how it got in there. I'm currently 11 weeks and haven't taken one since I had my 8 week scan. I'm thinking maybe I stashed it in there during the period when I was denying how many pregnancy tests I was really taking to my husband.

My meeting was cancelled and the roads are finally opening up! .... But another snow fall warning for tomorrow! So roads will probably close again, lol.

Good: going to pig out on Chinese food.

I found out my cousin is having a baby next month. Not sure if that falls under good or bad, all things considered, but I'm excited! Our babies will be 6 months apart, so maybe they'll be friends!

Also, I have free doughnut coupons that expire today, so time to go get some free doughnuts!

I had get up early for a mtg in the city, and then rush like a mad woman back to the office for an other mtg, only to find out on arrival the mtg got pushed back

Good: it's above freezing today.
Bad: my kid threw up today and has been sleeping all afternoon

Good: had a play date with two mommy friends I met shortly after LO was born, and for the first time ever, our LOs actually played together and kept each other entertained!

My baby took a nap! not on me! However I was starving the whole time and waiting on a frozen burrito. She also sat up straight all the way by herself today! I was so proud.

good: cosby (sick kitty) hasn't vomited today; i noticed the bacon needed to be used by today, which was an excellent excuse to eat it! my cold seems to have greatly improved this afternoon and i think another bee & i might be getting our hubbies together in the near future so they can participate in their shared hobby & we can entertain one another/cheer them on. it was a good day!

bad: my car needed to be inspected today, i forgot. i have bought all of cosby's favorite food available at our local pet smart and petco.... pet smart said they would have more wednesday, but they lied and now i need to go hunt more down somewhere far far away and if i don't find it tonight, he's gonna get sick also, his weekly food budget has surpassed that of the two humans (one of whom eats for 3).

ETA: I got the loot!! Woohoo!!

Good: I'm in Vegas. I logged in to work, and nothing too hateful while I was gone.

Bad: DH is a little under the weather and you know how men are when sick. We are with some of his colleagues and they are driving me bonkers. We had discussed possibly going to a show tonight, and people don't know which show they have tickets to, then someone else bought tickets for the whole group without clarifying first. Then DH expects me to make a decision on a later show so he can sleep. If I get the tickets, he won't be feeling well, and if I don't, he will want to buy them a significantly higher cost.

Sorry, just needing to vent.

Bad: we were so, so close to being tboned by some woman running a red light on our way home today.

Good: we weren't.

@NurseMommy: sheesh! Glad you weren't, I'm so scared of that happening.

Good: I bought my first 4 pairs of maternity pants for $32. And I am in love with maternity pants.

Bad: E threw a hysterical, screaming whiny-tantrum in line at Joann Fabrics because I wouldn't let him play with my wallet. Had I done so, everything would have been all over the floor and I almost certainly would have held up the line trying to get my cards out from under where ever they'd be flung. Didn't stop all of the hateful glares, though. I would have left, but I was already in line and couldn't easily leave, and really needed the cake boards/boxes I was getting...tonight.

Good: E woke up super happy from his nap earlier. Like flushed cheeks/giggly happy. It always makes my day better.

@SugarplumsMom: how awful and dumb! I hate school applications.

Good: had a Starbucks date with DH and LO today, baked cookies, booked a pedicure
Bad: the 'high' from my new anti-anxiety meds is gone, and I'm having a rough couple of days
