It's apple season! What are some things you like to bake with apples? We plan on going to pick our own apples, plus there is a farm stand across the street from me, so I see a lot of apples in our near future. I'm not the biggest fan of apple pie, but I do love apple crisp. I was thinking of homemade applesauce but I haven't attempted that one before.

Applesauce is so easy! You can make small batches just to have it fresh if you don't want to can it. But we've had fine results freezing it too!!

@Bao: applesauce is super easy! You literally just peel and cook them til they feel a bit soft and then blend!!

I do applesauce in the crockpot!! Also, I like to make applesauce muffins and throw some fresh chopped apple in there. Pork chops with sauteed apples and mustard. Everything in my house will be appley for the next two months because we have an amazing orchard near my house and my family likes to go pick-your-own every week.
