I made that banana cake and it's a win here so I'll make it in April. I think she prefers it without frosting, though. She can't get enough! I think it's delicious, too

So I checked my Pinterest and it turns put I have more ideas than I remembered! So that's good! I think our theme is going to be 'bunting.' Is that even a theme?! I know bunting's been done to death in the last few years in the Pinterest world, but I think it will be unique to our friends/family.

What's on the menu?: Cake, Cupcakes, Pizza, Sandwiches, Salad, Veggies and Dip, Mini Pies, Ice Cream,- etc. We are getting creative with the things the caterpillar "eats" in the book!
Will there be cake?: YES!! and cupcakes, and pies, and ice cream! Also my aunt is making cookies that look like pears!Anything else you would like to share? Photos? Mt invitation, cake topper and banners that I am making. LO's shirt I ordered as well! And the water bottle labels I made.

I've already got 25 people (including some small kids/babies) coming! Yikes! I need to get to the craft store this weekend for tablecloths and some other odds and ends. I'm trying to decide if i have any more decorating type stuff i want besides balloons and a chalkboard frame. I think I need to say no...ha.

@blackbird: I say no too! I have scaled back my decor a lot!! Not enough time and energy for everything.
I posted on my mum group on facebook for suggestions for a photographer to shoot the party and a student has offered to shoot it for free. I am super excited because I was really worried about not having any decent photos of us but we don't really have the money to spend.

How great that you got a student to photograph the party! We debated on hiring our photog for the party day, or 1 year photoshoot and opted for the cake smash photoshoot instead.Can I just say that I'm panicking? Tomorrow is April and I feel like I have nothing done. Luckily I have until the end of the month, but still! I'm picking up the supplies to start her chalkboard tonight, and making a healthy cake test run at some point this week. Table cloths and tableware will be ordered today.

I worked on C's yarn letters this weekend and am almost done. Totally not 100% birthday related. But they are in colors I'm using for the 'party' so I will probably display them then. Meant to bake his cake and freeze it but it started snowing before I could get to the grocery store and that killed my motivation

April, eep!!! It's coming!!! Our party is Saturday. I'm in overdrive, basically. Lots of cleaning and prepping the hosue for guests (aka shoving stuff in boxes and putting it in the back room! I HATE clutter)

@MrsRoo: Thanks! I hope it turns out how it looks in my mind. Last week I was in major panic mode but a lot seems to of come together over the weekend. There's still a lot to do but I can see the finish line.
My to do list:
Today - Pink lemonade trial, chase rsvps, big pom poms
Wed - Final printing, pick up lolly jars & drink dispenser, order antipasto plate and rolls
Thurs - Buy lollies for jars, finish buying plates, cutlery etc, finish guestbook, tags on milk bottles
Sat - Food shopping, buy flowers, make pink lemonade, prep foodUm I think that is it.

@MrsRoo: It went amazingly! I have no photos since it was crazy, so glad I hired someone. All prep was the finished the night before. The party was at 11:30 and we started setting up at 6:30am and just made it. I was putting on make up as some people were arriving. It is a day I will treasure forever

@MrsRoo: Everyone thought I was crazy.... especially my friend when I told her what time we would be heading around (she was staying with us) but I had to get the right spot and we had a lot of decor to organise plus a few trips home to get ready and bring food etc around. We used every second of that time, only sitting to eat breakfast. Haha
