@mrskansas: When did you guys BD this cycle, in relation to the HCG trigger?

  6. periwinklebee

    grapefruit / 4466 posts

@knittylady: 10dpo. I didn't test this morning because I only have two cheap tests, which gave me a bfn at 10dpo last time and only the squintiest of squinters at 11dpo. AF should be here Thurs or Fri, I may test tomorrow or Thurs morning, if I don't have the discipline to wait for AF (likely).

    @lilyofthewest: Boo.

@lilyofthewest: p.s. I don't have a ton of experience, but the one time I was pregnant tests were consistently darker for me at night than in the morning.

    @lilyofthewest: ugh. Sorry.

  10. knittylady

@mrskansas: darker or lighter this am?

  11. mrskansas

    nectarine / 2813 posts

@dominobee: Right after the shot and 12 hours later. But I was already surging on my own & ovulated less than 24 hours after the shot, otherwise we would have kept doing it.

  12. mrskansas

    nectarine / 2813 posts

    @knittylady: Completely negative

  13. knittylady

@mrskansas: well that's good news in relation to ectopic fears... I'm sorry for the chemical. They really hurt.

  14. mrskansas

    nectarine / 2813 posts

@knittylady: Yes I am relieved. At this point, I am so over this process that it doesn't even phase me anymore.

  15. dominobee

    pear / 1553 posts

@mrskansas: I was surging on my own too before the shot. We did 17 and 36 hours after the shot. Tried this morning for 60 hours after the shot - RE's office had recommended the three days after the shot - but DH wasn't really feeling it. We might try again tonight if I'm not too beat from work. Today is sucking already and it's not even 11am.

Also I think for the first time in this entire process (2 years of TTC!) DH felt like he was really forcing himself to BD. If it wasn't so late in the morning I would have made more of an effort to get him going, but I didn't want to be late for work.

  17. mrskansas

    nectarine / 2813 posts

@dominobee: It sounds like your bases are covered!

But yes... today sucks and it's only 10 AM here!

  18. dominobee

    pear / 1553 posts

@mrskansas: I'm really hoping so. I'm so tired of this shit. And I *really* hope my LP is longer this month on the progesterone. Otherwise there's just no way to get pregnant even with a fertilized egg, since I likely didn't ovulate until CD 15ish.

  19. mrskansas

    nectarine / 2813 posts

@dominobee: We struggled this past cycle a lot when it was time to BD. That's part of why my husband is done with TTC now. It sucks to force it.

  20. dominobee

    pear / 1553 posts

@mrskansas: It totally does! It's funny though bc DH has a higher libido than me and so usually he's like "come on, come on" and this morning he was just like "meh." I told him not to feel bad. It will happen when it happens and we already got two in, so I'm not even convinced today would make a difference. Just trying to follow doctor's orders!

  21. mrskansas

    nectarine / 2813 posts

@dominobee: I'm sure you are fine! It only takes 1 sperm

I don't know if it's hormones, the crappy weather or the fact that I was super sick this weekend but I feel so depressed today.

@mrskansas: I'm so sorry You've been through a lot over the past day, even if it wasn't unexpected it is still disappointing. I hope you have a chance to take it easy and do something kind for yourself

@dominobee: And it's also important that it is *just one* sperm. Lol, if two of those greedy guys fertilize the same egg, you end up like me testing hcg to zero forever due to the messed up placenta that will form.

  25. knittylady

    pomegranate / 3212 posts

@mrskansas: you've also been through a hell of a six months. im sorry you're low. Fwiw I think you're a warrior and that you will get to your rainbow baby.

  26. knittylady

    pomegranate / 3212 posts

@periwinklebee: you're already more of a zen master than I would.m be! I'd tell you to stay strong but I'm dying for you to poas!

  27. mrskansas

    nectarine / 2813 posts

@knittylady: I'm really struggling with that. I honestly have no desire to try anymore. I don't see how after 4/5 losses I could end up with a healthy pregnancy, so it scares me to keep trying because I feel like I'll keep getting pregnant but end up with nothing but heartache.

  28. knittylady

    pomegranate / 3212 posts

@mrskansas: I totally get it. The only thing I have to say is that every single time I feel that way I go back to wanting to try again within a week. It honestly shocks me. Like when I woke up from surgery I thought- good I need at least 3 months off if not more and now 1.5 weeks post off I'm itching to try. I can't explain it. Evolutionary biology is a mofo.

All that is to say go day by day. You'll know if it feels right. And if it doesn't that's ok too.

  29. mrskansas

    nectarine / 2813 posts

@knittylady: Yes, I know you're right because after every loss I've had, I'm like f#ck this, never again, and then once the bleeding stops, I'm ready again. It is strange how that works.

  30. knittylady

    pomegranate / 3212 posts

@mrskansas: I hate it. I was so sure about focusing on my health and little ones and life for the whole spring and now all I can think about are opks and what's that twinge etc.,

  31. mrskansas

    nectarine / 2813 posts

@knittylady: I feel ya! Luckily my stomach virus helped me lose about 10 pounds so I have a jump start on losing the weight I wanted

  32. dominobee

    pear / 1553 posts

@mrskansas: I'm so sorry. You're really strong for hanging in there through everything you've faced. If you need to wallow, wallow. If you need to cry, cry. If you need to scream, scream. It's justified.

  33. mrskansas

    nectarine / 2813 posts

@dominobee: Thanks girl. It has been a rough 6 months. I think I just need a vacation!!

  34. periwinklebee

    grapefruit / 4466 posts

@knittylady: If I thought it would show something, I'd be peeing on a stick right now. But with cheapie tests, I doubt it. I also don't really want to know about super early chemicals.

I've also been hyper aware of every twinge. My uterus has had way more twinges since the D&E (I hope it's not scar tissue, but probably is, ugh) and it really seems to have ramped up the past couple of days, but probably it's just because I'm hyper aware. Last night falling asleep it was driving me crazy because I kept on feeling twinges, so I was like "and now let me focus on my foot, yup, I feel stuff there too when I focus on it, and my hands, yup..."

  35. dominobee

    pear / 1553 posts

@mrskansas @knittylady @periwinklebee: I'm so afraid that when (if) I finally do get pregnant it won't stick.

Why is this so hard?! It's literally the reason why human beings exist at all! 360,000 babies are born EACH DAY worldwide!

  36. dominobee

    pear / 1553 posts

@mrskansas: Yeah get you a vacation ASAP!!! Preferably during a TWW.

  37. mrskansas

    nectarine / 2813 posts

@dominobee: Luckily the odds are in your favor for having a healthy pregnancy and that's what you have to try and focus on. And if you do have a loss, the chances of it happening again are very, very slim.

I called & left a message for my RE's office to see if I can come in for a scan. I'm still having quite a bit of pain/cramping and want to make sure I don't have a giant cyst or something.
Really hoping everything is normal in there & my body just likes to be annoying!
