I think we're taking a new approach this month. DH has been on his fertility blend for men for 1 month (I know it probably takes 3 months) and we think I might have a LP defect. My pre-O phase is always consistent, and my LP varies from 10-13 days (though the 13 days chart REALLY looked like a BFP chart until AF came). I sometimes spot the day before and feel like I often don't make it to my POAS date. Plus, I have heard this is more common in your 30s and up, and with stress. SO....I am starting progesterone once I confirm O. This means I will have to POAS rather than wait for AF. I am SO HOPING that between these 2 interventions and finally living together full time, that this will be the ticket. Unfortunately, DH isn't feeling well and is currently napping. Today is likely O-2. We BD O-4, and the plan is O-2, O-1, and O. Hoping DH feels better later today.

@PawPrints: Congratulations!! Digitals don't lie. That's awesome!

@AmeliaBedilia: I think your plan sounds great! Try to get in O+1 also if you can. Us girls can never be too sure about the actual ovulation day.

@MrsMcD: Thanks. I just really hope this is it, and would love to hear that this is what the problem is. Otherwise, there doesn't seem any obvious cause besides stress. Link to my chart (I have skipped temping a few months since I am so frustrated with this whole process).

Given this is the first time we have had good control over our timing (as long as DH feels better), are we better doing ED or EOD? We don't have any known male factor issues, but after 12 cycles, who knows?

@AmeliaBedilia: For some reason, I can't see your chart. But I think you should aim for BDing as often and as much as you can. I don't see any harm in doing that if there is no issue with your husband's swimmers.

I have been avoiding facebook and stumbled on it to find out someone who just got married in February announcing that she is having a honeymoon baby, due in November. It literally made me cry. I hate TTC.

@AmeliaBedilia: I am so sorry hon, that is really rough. Prayers for you and for it to work out for you soon.
Thanks so much to everyone for the prayers, FX, and encouragement. I appreciate it so much. I feel like our BFP this time is a crazy example of "it's not over til it's over" - since we had a BFN at 13 DPO and a squinter at 15 DPO. God bless that digital. For the curious (since I know I always was curious about other people's BFPs), our timing this time was O-3, O-2, O, and O+2. We were sort of trying a modified SMEP approach for the first time. And I had ZERO symptoms, unlike my last three cycles when I had sore boobs and exhaustion for my whole LP.
I don't even know what I'm supposed to do now. I guess I'll give the doctor a call tomorrow.

@PawPrints: Thanks. Take your prenatals, call the doctor, avoid smoking, alcohol, ibuprofen, aleve, and talk to your doctor about anything else. Take care of yourself! If you really want to be ahead of the game, call your insurance to find out what is covered and discreetly check your work's maternity leave policy. Otherwise, relax and celebrate! We are all happy for you.

@PawPrints: and the wandfo is still a squinter? I'm starting to hate those things.

@PawPrints: congratulations! Stalking from the oct dd board, but holding out for the rest of you ladies ttc 6+ as that was me up until 2 months ago. I'm laughing at your comment two pages ago about "thankfully no Xmas baby" lol. It happens when you least expect it huh! I'm curious what is your Edd?
pomegranate / 3658 posts
@Crystal: yes, and I took another Wondfo this morning and it's a squinter too. Is that a reason to worry? Should I go buy some FRERs? (At least my temps are still way above the cover line at 17 DPO)

@Mrs tartan: Ha yeah I am feeling dumb for saying that I believe my EDD will be 12/20. Shortest day of the year, what a great birthday!

@PawPrints: I wouldn't take more tests. Wondfos have NO RHYME OR REASON. Damn tests. I'd just go to my doctor and get my pregnancy-panel bloodwork-up done.
pomegranate / 3658 posts
@CupQuakeWalk: Thanks for the voice of reason. I told DH I was worried and he (sleepily while still in bed) said "Well they're crappy tests!!" Right on. Also I'm trying to focus on the fact that I got the digital with THE SAME URINE that produced a squinter Wondfo. Clearly the Wondfo's problem.

@PawPrints: I wouldn't stress over wondfos.. They are a cheap test!
GOLD / squash / 13576 posts
@PawPrints: just FYI.. I took two wondfo tests, same U and each one came back different darkness. There is no rhyme or reason.

@PawPrints: Congratulations!!!!
And don't fret the Wondfos AT ALL. Lately the quality has been absymal. Digitals are not very sensitive, so if you got a + digital, you are KU! (And can stop taking tests...). FWIW, I would also skip the betas unless you have a reason to need them. They can't actually tell you much a + HPT doesn't and I found waiting for results and then scrutinizing the numbers BEYOND stressful.
ETA: Adding a few more details to galvanize @littlek's point below... the only reason my doctor ran betas was because I am at a high risk for EPs and a non-doubling beta rate can indicate EP before an u/s would pick it up (and because I only have one good tube anyway, we would need to catch an EP as quickly as possible). Anyway. My betas were SUPER low (only a 7 at 10 DPO) and although they doubled, they never got very high. My doctor really stressed me out, saying that I should expect a m/c. Tell that to my DD! So my point is really just that I don't think betas are worth it unless you know you have an issue. I will ask to skip them next time.

@PawPrints: I agree with @septca most OBs will not run betas for you unless you have history of miscarriage.

My friends!!! I just wanted to pop in and let you know that I'm still reading this daily and cheering all of you on! NTNP has been a great adventure for us, I'm feeling pretty good.
@LittleK: Thanks for the OPK vs. HPT photo. I've never had a positive HPT myself, but I have wondered what the OPK would look like
@LindsayInNy: So sorry about your weird/freaky situation!! GOOD LUCK!
@AmeliaBedilia: FINGERS CROSSED! Your plan sounds great to me!
@Mrs. TicTacToe: Your timing looks great now, me likey
@PawPrints: Congrats dear! Seeing those words on the screen must have made your heart do a flip-flop!
I know I'm missing a lot of shout outs right now, but please now that I keep all of you in my thoughts daily and am sending you prayers of sticky beans!

@septca: @littlek: This is really good info. I haven't called for an appointment yet (I can't make a call at work without being overheard, and the midwife center I go to is closed on Sundays) but I expect they'll just schedule me for the 8-week bloodwork and nothing before then. What a wait.

@PawPrints: I second everything @septca said. My wondfo's did not get progressively very dark this time, and one at one point I had one that was significantly lighter than the rest, and I really let myself get freaked out. Thankfully the other bees got me to stop testing. I'm 19 weeks now, so clearly the tests were not an indicator of something wrong! And I didn't get betas, even though I had two previous losses. The waiting for results was incredibly stressful, it just made me sick every time the phone rang. If they could have told me it was definitely going to stick, I might have done it, but since all it could tell me was whether things looked okay at that point (my first loss was at 9.5 weeks, so good betas would have meant nothing), it wasn't worth the stress. And congrats again!

@PawPrints: Also another person that says don't worry about wondfos! They are cheap tests. Congrats again! So happy for you.
grapefruit / 4028 posts
@PawPrints: I know others answered you above, but don't stress about the wandfos. They are crap, for both the OPKs and the HPTs. I am ordering a new brand Mrs. Panda recommended since wandfo seems to be giving everyone trouble lately. I was just more expressing shock that they were still barely a squinter when the digital clearly shows it.
Like Septca said, if a digital picked it up, then you are definitely KU!

As the next POASer. I thought I would give a small update.
I'm on CD43 now and no signs of AF. I sort of just want AF to just start so I can just begin anew.
I did a wondfo and FRER on CD41 (Saturday) and got BFN.
