@LindsayInNY: have you had lots of vacation sex? On the beach? maybe you irritated/tore something?
bananas / 9229 posts
@septca: Nope, haven't gone yet! Did gave some light bleeding pre-O BDing which happens sometimes but not frequently.

@LindsayInNY: I know this is no reconciliation but, fwiw, I too might lose an IUI month if my AF comes on vacation. If it comes on the last day, it'll be OK but it is scheduled to come 3 days in So, yeah....that'll eff everything up. Isn't it funny that the ONE relaxing thing we get has to be tainted by ttc somehow?

@LindsayInNY: Oh I missed the post-O high temp readings. This is quite a head scratcher!

@CupQuakeWalk: I figured I might start the pre-AF spotting on vacation but now I don't know. I don't want to call the RE like a crazy person with a "what if" scenario though. I was told to call on CD1 and I think the plan was to start Clomid either CD 3 or 5, I can't remember which. I might just have to play it by ear...
@Raindrop: Tell me about it!!

@LindsayInNY: i have my fingers crossed that the reason things are off is because you are pregnant
bananas / 9229 posts
@littlek: I don't know how it would be possible though... I tested at 12DPO last cycle and it was negative. AF came on 15DPO or so and seemed normal as always. Plus the two OPKs from this past weekend were stark white...

@LindsayInNY: popping in! Can you get the prescription for Clomid before you go on vacation? Then if AF shows up during vacation you can still take the Clomid next cycle.
bananas / 9229 posts
@swedishfish: I don't know... I've never taken it before and I would have to get it tomorrow. I don't even know if that's possible? I have some progesterone still. I'm tempted to use that to delay AF, if that is in fact what's coming early.
GOLD / coconut / 8266 posts
@LindsayInNY: see if the RE's office can call the prescription into your pharmacy tomorrow morning. They should have Clomid in stock - Target did when I took it.
bananas / 9229 posts
@swedishfish: I might call the RE tomorrow... Still trying to decide what to do. I've only been there for the consult so far so I'm in that "new patient" category still.

Ok, who wants to look at my chart and tell me if I should POAS early?!? I have a good feeling about this cycle, but like @septca, I always have a good feeling, so who knows. I have been waiting until I miss my period to POAS, but I kind of want to do it early this time. Tell me what to do!!

@mrs. tictactoe: Oooo it looks like an implantation dip!
You know everyone is going to say test
Test test test!
blogger / pomegranate / 3201 posts
@Raindrop: I know!!! Trying not to get my hopes up too high. But it's hard.
GOLD / pomegranate / 3688 posts
@mrs. tictactoe: obviously you should test. Tomorrow. Report back. (That's an order!)
blogger / pomegranate / 3201 posts
@septca: I think I'm going to wait until Friday because 10 dpo just feels like a better testing day than 9 dpo. FX! You're testing tomorrow, right?
grapefruit / 4731 posts
I tested with a wondfo tonight after I got home from work. BFN!
It's dpo13, not looking good for me people....

@LindsayInNY: Just chiming in to say that I picked up my Clomid for this cycle way early. My doc said since we didn't know for sure when AF would arrive, that she would go ahead and call it in, and that I should pick it up and have it on hand. If I were you, that is what I would do, so if you do start while you're gone, you can start the Clomid when they want you to. It also helped my crazy brain to have the Clomid in my hands. GL to you!

Now I'm starting to wonder if I somehow geared up to O but didn't and that's why I'm spotting? My temps are not looking good...
I think we're just going to let me body do what it naturally wants to right now... If IUI gets pushed off, then so be it, I guess.

@LindsayInNY: Ugh. I don't know what to make of that. But I think you have a great attitude about this month. Go enjoy your vacation (when do you leave?) and try not to stress too much about your wonky chart (easier said than done, I know).
@Raindrop: I'm sorry. I hate that.
@mrs. tictactoe: Okay, okay. I guess. In all seriousness, I agree that 10 DPO seems to be the tipping point. I feel like getting a BFP at 10 DPO is still early but is actually realistic, whereas before then is kind of for the cray-cray (like me - see below).
So, as promised, I did test this morning at 7 DPO. I am obviously nuts (Tidybee asked if you guys needed to stage an intervention...). But really, I wanted to test super early this cycle because I am using a new type of cheapie test and I wanted a "control" test to see if it would give me the same weird lines I have been getting on Wondfos the last few cycles. Indeed, the new tests (Sure Predict) also have weird super faint lines. After *a lot* of investigation this morning, I have determined that (1) I have amazing eyesight, and (2) what I am seeing is actually build-up of dye on either side of the test line (which is white). So think of my early testing obsession as a way to spread HPT knowledge for the betterment of the hive. I know what a BFP looks like, so I'll let you know if I ever see one... in the meantime, I will keep testing every day (because, like I said, cray-cray).

@septca: We leave tomorrow morning! I'm getting next to nothing done at work today... I'm trying to look for shorts online, to buy in store, because my CrossFit butt and thighs no longer fit in my shorts, LOL. I did call my RE and the nurse basically said if AF comes over the weekend, to call them Monday. The RE was going to go with either Clomid or Letrizole and can start up to CD4 so that's a good sign still!
You are crazy for POAS at 7DPO but I love it! LOL

@LindsayInNY: what an awful problem to have :). I love shopping!
bananas / 9229 posts
@littlek: The problem being I have to easily go up a size or two so that the shorts don't look like spandex on me I might be cutting the tag outta those shorts...
GOLD / squash / 13576 posts
@LindsayInNY: oh I thought it was the other way.... But if anyone causes you trouble you can use your legs of steel and choke them
GOLD / pomegranate / 3688 posts
@LindsayInNY: I find Gap shorts to be very forgiving in the thighs.
I am also shopping today. We just planned 3 separate beach vacations this summer (woo hoo!!!) so I need some new suits.
GOLD / squash / 13576 posts
@LindsayInNY: I'm no help, shorts look bad on me. I'm so short.
@septca: nice!!!! I need another bathing suit too. Where you looking?
bananas / 9229 posts
@littlek: Nope, I refer to them as my tree trunks. My legs were stocky/muscular pre-Crossfit and Crossfit has only amplified that.
@septca: That's a thought! The too-tight ones are from Old Navy. I was thinking just going up a size or two and hoping that the waist isn't too big then?
GOLD / pomegranate / 3688 posts
@littlek: I am going to buy this suit in navy:
http://athleta.gap.com/browse/product.do?cid=97469&vid=1&pid=964875032
Total mom suit, but that's exactly what I need.

@septca: mad scientist over here? I appreciate the research! Keep it up and report back:)

hey ladies have to jump in here with some crazy thoughts. I'm sorry I haven't been around, I've been trying to think about TTC as little as possible on our meds break.
I've been feeling kinda weird so I took an OPK today (CD10) and it is 90% positive (it looked actually positive for a while but dried with the test line a little lighter). this is totally weird because I never ovulate before CD16 on my own, and I typically get only 1 near-positive OPK and the days before are pretty faint. also my CM is nowhere near O-like, just creamy stuff.
of course my crazy self thinks, hey, maybe I'm pregnant! never mind I had AF 10 days ago. I guess I'm going to take another OPK and a wondfo HPT tomorrow to see where things are. DH is working in Texas until tomorrow evening, but I guess if I'm going to ovulate early at least we could get some BD in then and timing wouldn't be too bad.
anyone else get random near-positive OPKs and then not O?
GOLD / squash / 13576 posts
@bhbee: I always O, but I did have one cycle were a got a positive OPK early. It ended up being a short wacky cycle. Hopefully that is not the case for you.
cantaloupe / 6086 posts
@littlek: it's totally possible I'll have a wacky cycle as it's my first off 4 rounds of clomid. maybe not so bad to miss BD timing if it's going to be weird anyway.

Oh man.... work gets crazy for a day and I miss so much!!! My favorite part of yesterday goes to @septca: with the "sex on the beach"!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! You're crazy, but I like you!!!
I'm so sorry to the girls with crazy cycle stuff going on. Please just enjoy your vacations. If IUI gets pushed back one month, try to just feel whatevs about it. You have a VACATION!!! Enjoy it!
GOLD / pomegranate / 3938 posts
@bhbee: I once or twice got a super early positive OPK on CD10. I don't know why it happens.
