@septca: Congratulations! So happy for you!
I had a meeting with our financial planner, and long story short, I need to switch long term disability insurance. They require a physical with blood and urine, and while I haven't heard officially, there is no way that a POAS won't be involved. Given some complicated timing, this is probably my only chance to get it. I am hoping to schedule this ASAP, but most likely I won't be able to schedule it til 9DPO. This is my first cycle on progesterone, and while I so want a BFP, I am in the weird place of not wanting a POAS on THIS test. It will be in the afternoon, and I plan on drinking a ton of water that day. Besides this and trying to schedule it earlier, any suggestions? How likely is a BFP at 9DPO?

@AmeliaBedilia: If you got a positive pregnancy test resulting from the new insurance tests, would you be precluded from coverage under that insurance? I am not understanding why you wouldn't want a positive. I think you could absolutely get a positive on 9dpo.
nectarine / 2192 posts
@MrsMcD: Yes, I wouldn't be able to get the insurance. To be clear, I want a BFP more than the insurance, but I would really like both. That means I am hoping for a BFN at 9 DPO and a positive after that.
GOLD / pomegranate / 3938 posts
@AmeliaBedilia: Okay, I get it. I didn't want a BFP last month so that I could plan a Hawaii trip for a friends wedding. But of course I wanted the BFP and would happily forego the wedding if that's the direction nature sent me. As it is, Hawaii is booked! So either way for you, you will have great things in store. Would the LTD insurance be used for your maternity leave issues?
nectarine / 2192 posts
@MrsMcD: sort of. I found out that my current insurance has some issues, and with some job issues, if I don't get this now, I probably won't be able to get it. It's not the end of the world, but I am kicking myself for not doing this sooner. I briefly thought about waiting on the progesterone a month, but I so want a BFP!

@AmeliaBedilia: Oh friend... At this point I wouldn't put of TTC for anything, really. I'm sure you are feeling that same way. Just try as you normally do, or scale it back a bit. But don't prevent or stop trying. When I think of LTD, I think of Alzheimer care when I'm older (way older, hopefully). Don't put your TTC off because of that.

I did not bring any HPTs with me to my ILs this weekend, which means the next time I could test would be Monday morning before work, but I hate seeing a BFN before work, so I might wait until AF arrives on Wesnesday or if it doesn't, ext weekend. Or I'll go buy a test today, lol. I'm a glutton for punishment.

@mrs. tictactoe: it might be nice to make a run to the store for a test.

@septca: woohoo!!
so I'm totally confused about my cycle now. that CD10 FMU OPK (very close to positive) was the darkest and OPKs have been getting lighter since. I also temped CD11-12 and while I haven't been doing it consistently, it was clearly my post-O pattern and I never see temps like that prior to O. I also felt some boob soreness etc that usually comes right after O. soooo I guess I might have surged on CD9 and missed it completely since DH was traveling? really bizarre because I didn't get any EWCM which is usually consistent for me, and I can not remember ever getting a surge before CD15.
damn you clomid and whatever effect you are having on my cycle. one way or another things are messed up. I guess I'll just have to keep an eye on CM to see if it gets fertile again before AF shows up? I'm kind of hoping to just have a short cycle. and maybe kind of relieved to have a cycle where the TWW requires no symptom spotting!

@bhbee: What CD are you are? Have you gotten good BDing in to cover you for whatever day you might have Oed on? Sorry you are feeling our cycle is messed up. But I bet you've still kept yourself in the game this month.
nectarine / 2192 posts
@bhbee: I believe clomid can decrease CM and make O come earlier. It can lengthen LP. I'm hoping you didn't miss it- it is such a yucky/stressful feeling to not get good timing because O comes when it shouldn't. I would still try to BD EOD just in case. If you want to post a link to your chart, we can give our opinions.
I am 5DPO. I just started progesterone (200mg vaginally when I go to bed), and while CM is increased, my temp isn't, which is a little surprising. I think my issue is the LP seems fine but temp drops CD10-11 to around the coverline.

Happy Easter to those who celebrate!
I went to the store yesterday and bought some FRERs, but this morning I had a major temp drop (below cover line), so I didn't test. We had to get up really early for church (5am and I usually temp at 6:30), but I still think I'm out. My hopes were way too high this time. No more temping for me. Just EOD BD starting at CD 8 ish. Onward!

@bhbee: on my second Clomid cycle I had a really weird short 18 day cycle before being my BFP the next cycle. Hopefully things very sorted out soon!

@MrsMcD: @Mrs.Panda: @AmeliaBedilia: thanks ladies. this is actually my break cycle after 4 cycles of clomid so it's probably just time for a weird cycle as my body re-adjusts. I had my third high temp today which seems to confirm ovulation, but just in case it's something weird like allergies affecting temps I'm going to keep doing OPKs throughout my usual fertile week.
I actually don't really care if we get in a good shot or not, because I'm ready for a mental break too. if I did O on CD9/10 we completely missed it by DH being gone for work. but if it happens later this week we'll give it a shot.

@mrs. tictactoe: I'm sorry.
@bhbee: FX you'll O later this week! How many cycles do you have to take "off"?
We babysat for my young nieces this weekend- it made me want kids even more (even after the middle of the night wake ups, lol). Seeing DH play with them made my heart full and break at the same time.

@Crystal: I'm taking 2-3 off just because we're moving across the country and switching REs in the process. didn't make sense to jump into next steps here (I can't do any more clomid). so the nice piece is I'm just busy enough with all the move stuff, seeing friends, etc to not care too much about TTC.
