@dc yoga bee: usually around day 10 if we are trying to time things well. Sorry about your day

We started on day 9 this time just by chance. Then day 11. But now it's day 13 and my husband will be home late. And late tomorrow too. I ovulated on day 18 last month so it might still work out ok.

@winniebee: It actually worked out okay! I came home to hang out with my babies (dogs), and marathon watched Locked Up! A delightful day in the end lol. Your timing still sounds right on track for cd 18 O bc you still have cd 13-18.

hmmm I'm researching this softcup. It actually looks pretty cool!

@dc yoga bee: sounds like a great day! unfortunately today is 13 and tomorrow 14 so those are out. But hopefully 15-18 and O no earlier than that!

@winniebee: Sorry! I read the "then" as "today." Snowbrain! You're definitely still well in the game! I feel like I'm getting all in your personal life lol, but do you use pre-seed? I like the idea that it helps the swimmers live longer, so I think we will use it tonight just in case as we're 5-6 days away from O.You could definitely use some of that next time for extra staying power!

@dc yoga bee: we haven't used it! I'm supposed to be taking a nonchalant approach this time around. Oops.

I absolutely promised myself I wouldn't do this, but I am full blown symptom-spotting right now. With LO#1, I had unusual cramping very early on (like, 5DPO) and sore boobs shortly before my BFP.

Those twinges I talked about yesterday... they went on all day. Not like ovulation pain, not like cramps, just like... achy twinges. Just like last time.

And late this afternoon, right around 6 PM, I had insane nausea out of nowhere.

Someone smack me... or join me. Any other early-April testers in the TWW?

@keepcalmcarrie: FX that it means something! It very well could.

I am not one one to talk anyone down from crazy town. I just made this for my son:

Decided to go for it - xmas or no!

Cycle day // Well, it has been more than 3,000 days since I last had a period (thanks Mirena!!), but, I had a positive OPK test today. So, I'm going to lie to my chart, count backwards a bit, and call today CD 13.

Cycle # // One-ish. This is my 4th apparent attempt at ovulation since getting my IUD out. Hopefully this is the lucky egg that makes it all the way out into the world.

Ovulation & POAS dates // Ovulation plausibly tomorrow. I don't temp, so, won't know for sure until I get a period or a positive. I'm probably going to keep peeing on sticks almost every day, but, I guess I'll start actually hoping for one to produce a positive result on May 6th.

    Baby # // 1

Your game plan this month // Keep peeing on LH and HCG sticks.

@anyajenkins: I read pineapple core only for 1dpo-5dpo. Then stop, because it can cause uterine contractions which is not good for implantation.

@keepcalmcarrie: I'm in the TWW with you! I told myself not to symptom spot, but today I've failed big time. I'm having some light cramps and feeling nauseated. But I'm only 6 or 7 DPO.

@MrsMccarthy: Love it! Crazy town or not, that is adorable!

    @lilyofthewest: welcome, and god luck!

@MrsMccarthy: Super cute! You're totally gonna need it!

@anyajenkins: pineapple is on sale here too, but I don't start tww until next week. How long do they last?

@keepcalmcarrie: I'm in the TWW too. 8 dpo but not feeling anything. I just don't have any good vibes this month unfortunately.

I am going to change my POAS date to the 4th. I don't want to waste my tests (I took 3 last month on day AF was due as I couldn't resist and then AF arrived an hour later!). I'm due on the 2nd so gonna try and hold out until the 4th.

I am kicking myself for not bd'ing last night before DH went out of town. He was too tired Of course I jumped to high fertility today on cd 12, which normally doesn't occur until cd 13! Maybe drinking whole milk daily has been regulating my hormones and moving up ovulation!?! He won't be home until tomorrow at midnight, so it'll be hard to bd tomorrow cd 13. But, we will try and definitely bd cd 15 through ovulation. I hope I didn't just shoot ourselves in the foot for this month.

@dc yoga bee & @mrsmccarthy: So with the soft cup you just insert it after BD. From what I have seen most women suggest inserting it before you get up to keep the semen near your cervix, but I actually don't tell my husband about the soft cup (just trying to keep the romance and the pressure out of BDing) so I get up and insert it in the bathroom real quick. It's super easy to insert, you may want to practice once our twice before doing it after BD. I use to use them for mensuration so I was used to wearing them already and have never gotten a UTI from them. The softcup keeps the semen up against your cervix where you can keep it for 12 hours. The last time I got pregnant I was going to be in Las Vegas without husband during O, we BDed before my flight and I used softcup and we nailed it!! Softcup has actually been trying to get conception device added to the description of their product but it hasn't been approved yet by the food and drug administration. It's pretty cool!!!

@dc yoga bee: I bet you will be okay, I have been in high fertility for an entire week before. I'll keep my fingers crossed that you don't peak till he is back and you get a chance to BD.

Hah, I just saw I put my poas date for May 6. NOT that patient. April 6 should do nicely.

@dc yoga bee: ugh sorry! My husband got home late last night as well and had to prepare for today and was falling asleep on the couch sitting up at 930, so.....boo.

What does whole milk do? My son drinks whole milk so I often have it in my cereal (soooo good!)

@lilyofthewest: I was thinking man 6 week tww!

Ugh. Still no temp rise today.

I'm wondering if all the "feelings" I've been feeling in my ovary areas are just in my head? Especially since I started feeling things last week when the spotty mucous started.

@lilyofthewest: haha! That would be very impressive

    @MrsMccarthy: That is adorable!!

Okay ladies, I need OPK/chart opinions! So on CD 18, I tested with my OPK at 6:45 a.m., 12:30 p.m., 8:00 p.m.. The first one appeared roughly the same darkness, and the 12:30 and 8:00 appeared darker. So definitely positive! I had a temp rise today (CD 21). So based on my OPK and chart, do you guys think I probably ovulated yesterday (CD 20)? And do you think we need to BD today (which is potentially O+1)?

  26. MaryM

    pomelo / 5129 posts

@Adira: I'm so jealous of your temp rise! Mine has been the same (within .02 degrees) since my + OPK.

I say BD tonight just in case!

  27. Adira

    wonderful pomelo / 30692 posts

@MaryM: When was your + OPK? And I agree - I probably should BD tonight... I just don't want to, haha.

  28. Anya

    nectarine / 2784 posts

@Adira: looks promising! I think tomorrow's temp will be key. I would bd today if you can, just in case

  29. Adira

    wonderful pomelo / 30692 posts

@anyajenkins: Yeah, I just pray the temps are still up tomorrow! I'll try to BD tonight, but Hubs and I HAVE BD'd for the past three days, so we're both sick of it, haha. He even said to me "I hope you're pregnant so we can stop having sex."

Okay Wondfo users, I need help. I haven't tried using these things since since I tried three years ago when trying to conceive #1 because I never got a positive, I am now using CBE Advanced and feel I have a better understanding of the OPK process so believe I will have better luck this time, and since CBE Advanced is so $$$$ I am going to use both but using more of the Wondfo brand. So I was all ready till i started reading the instructions... it says: "the test strip and urine need to be at room temperature (15 - 30 degrees C) for testing." So... i need to set my urine out for an hour or so to make it room temperature? I assumed it would be okay straight from my body? Or am I misunderstanding? I have no idea how warm it is when it comes from your body but I'm assuming warmer than room temp. Halp!!

@MaryM: Questioning if you're actually feeling things/having symptoms is the worst I get like that wayyyy too often! Your temp rise is coming!

    honeydew / 7295 posts

@Adira: I think you can safely skip tonight. I hope that temp rise sustains for you.

Thanks everyone for sweet comments on the onsie I made. I forgot to put mail mans cap on the stork but oh well.

Feeling like super crap over here with the post nasal drip from hell. At least we aren't sick during ovulation though.

@Brawly: I use wondfo opks all the time and I don't have an issue. I just pee in a cup then dip the stick right away for 3 secs. I think you'll be fine.

    wonderful pomelo / 30692 posts

@Brawly: I use Wondfo OPKs and just pee into a cup and dip the strip in immediately for 3 seconds. Definitely don't need to let your urine sit out to get to room temp!

Ahh I realize that I'm not keeping up with this as best as I want to on vacation! Can someone be SO kind to update the roll call till Saturday? Pretty please!

@Adira & @Mrsmccarthy: Okay... super relieved, I was planning on using them at work and I don't have an office, just a cubical so that would so not fly... Haha! Its bad enough that I smuggle the strips and tiny little owl cups into the bathroom with me let alone if I had to then tote my pee across the office back to my desk to sit for an hour.

@Kelli_Deluxe: No problem!! I really like them, I think they give all those little swimmers a fighting chance. HA!
