I've been wearing these Steve Madden Heaven flats in black for the last two years. I wear them pretty much every day to work and church. They are so comfortable! I need to get a new pair soon because I really wear them out over the course of the year.

I've owened a few pairs in the past, but I stopped buying them. I don't know if they're better now, but I found them to be not nearly as good of quality as the boots. They'd last through one fall/winter for me (I'm in FL, so flats are winter shoes ). I found the inside of the shoe would break down considerably and get really uncomfortable. Not sure if they've changed for the better, though. It's been at least 4 years since I've bought a pair.
I go with Sam Edelman and Born flats for the time being. Sam Edelmans last about the same for me, but are cheaper.

@runnerd: If you buy something expensive, get it from Nordstrom. They take back everything, including worn shoes. So if you buy Frye shoes and they wear out after a year, you can totally bring them back.

I refuse to buy anything expensive anywhere that I can't return at any time. I got burned on a Coach bag from Macy's and now everything over $100 has to be returnable (LL Bean, Nordstrom, Costco, etc.)

A 4th for Borns!
I bought two pairs 4 years ago for work, I switch between them, and they still wear great! I got them at The Rack, so they were more affordable.

I have a pair of Frye flats and I love them. I only paid $30 for them originally, but this past summer I paid $50 to have them resoled because I love them so much.
