People always ask what I feed my baby (breastmilk and some veggies) and if I curl her hair!!!

People have asked me since DS was born if he STTN. Especially one neighbor who asks me every single time i see her. Grrrr. Sore subject!

@grizz: yes! This is the number one question I would get from people. If it makes you feel better, LO is 15 months now so people have stopped asking since they assume she does.
Too bad she doesn't but at least I don't have to deal with the silly questions

Yes, people always ask about sleep. I wish I had a better answer, but he does not STTN and I have a feeling it is going to be a long time.

My brother has amazing, gorgeous red hair. People used to always ask us if we dyed it!

I don't think anyone has asked me questions! I get advice more often than questions...

Usually it's one of 3 ?s for my 13 month old LO. 1. when are you going to wean him? (don't know) 2. boy or girl? (I dress him in lots of bold colors and prints, including pink and purple) 3. is he always this busy? (yes)

I get asked about sleep a lot, then get the pity look when I say she isn't STTN. I appreciate the sympathy but I was to yell "but it's normal to not STTN at 5 months!" Every time.
I got of the same questions when I was pregnant: When are you due? Boy or girl? How are you feeling? Every time. I didn't mind though, ppl are just being nice.

@grizz: @Anutka: @ALV91711: @Foodnerd81: omg I got asked that all the time, and DS1 didn't STTN until 13 months. I promised myself I will never ask another parent how their child sleeps because it was so embarrassing to always be like umm nope!
These days when someone hears either DS1 or DS2's name and they have not seen/met DH they ask a series of questions trying to figure out what kind of ethnic name it is and why I would have picked it (DS1 looks white, DS2 is a little tan, I'm white and DH is Indian). I've started just saying their names mean XYZ in Tamil, my husband is Indian, and then they say Ooohhh.

"Wow he's blonde!"
"Wow he looks like his dad"
And all those lovely STTN questions.....

@BabyMats: OMG the advice. I've had people telling me to give DS rice cereal since he was 3 weeks old. An older lady I work with always tells me I'm starving him bc we don't feed it to him. Uhhh, what did babies do before it was invented?

STTN question is #1. I laugh at them and say "of course not". I've started getting questions about whether I'm breastfeeding too. I don't mind, but I really wonder why that is interesting to others.

My family has stopped asked me about STTN because I have one of those rare babies who started doing it at an early age - turns out that when there's nothing there for them to give advice and pity and be condescending about, the questions magically stop.
The one that bugs me that most that has been coming up a ton lately is when we're going to have another. I want my kids close in age and we started trying as soon as I started ovulating again, which was in September, which I don't tell people but still, it's just like...thanks for the reminder.

People always ask me if I'm still breastfeeding. I don't think they mean anything by it, they're probably just curious? Don't know what the big deal is though.
