I live in the Tampa Bay area. Sadly we're famous for strip clubs...... that movie Magic Mike was filmed here for that reason.

Not in our sleepy little town. When we lived in the city before we bought this house, we were about 4 blocks from a seedy strip club. I didn't love that appartment very much.

There's a sex toy shop on the next block over from me, does that count?

@JoJoGirl: omg, funny story. I have it in my head that you're a MA, but I am not positive. Anyway, when we were like 18 my girlfriend & I went in the one on Newbury st and bought a vibrator as a gag gift for a friend who'd broken up with her lame bf, like a 'haha see how easily he's been replaced?!' anyway my BFF was paying & the guy goes 'do you ladies need some batteries to go with that?' and she goes 'yeah, and do you have a bathroom we could use?' his face was to die for! Hahaha, still makes me laugh. Anyway I hope you live near that one!

I live within a couple miles of a gentlemans club. I am not a fan. There is also a Casino extremely close to where we live. We are moving in the next week to a much nicer area. The only thing surrounding our new home is farm land.

Not locally, we have quite a few in town so about 20 minutes away. Both male and female strip clubs and two or three adult shops.

@mrs. bird: Haha that's hilarious!! I actually lived down the street from that exact place for years! I'm not downtown anymore though - moved to the suburbs when I met DH. But can never be too far from one, right?

We're in the suburbs, but about 10-15 minutes out of the city, so I guess they're close-ish.

No but when we first moved in together we lived up the street from a strip club. I thought it was interesting that it was packed at 11am everyday and that they advertised lunch specials.

There are two sex-type shops right near us...a "Condoms To Go" and a "Condom Sense" (I live in Dallas). My brother thinks its hilarious.

The only strip club in town is about 2-3 miles away. It's referred to as 'the dirty sock' It's funny though, because it used to be on the edge of town and now the town has grown around it.. so now it's this little dumpy building in the middle of a bunch of nice developments!

Yes, there is one right across from my work actually. I always ask visitor who call for directions of they know where the strip club is (especially if it's a male). Most of the reply yes and I say we're right across the street.

We're in the Tampa Bay area but live in St. Pete, so there aren't any near our house, but there is one right around the corner from where I work in Tampa and several others just a couple of miles away. Like @artbee said, we are home of the "Vegas-style strip club." This is actually where Channing Tatum used to work. Lots of massage parlors too!

Nope, nothing of the sort, there's practically no businesses near me at all except for small ones like vets, dentist, and ..wow, that's all I can think off the top of my head. I don't even have a supermarket in the town!

@meaganceleste: Comdom Sense might be a chain, cuz there is one on South Street in Philly!

@mrs. bird: Yes ma'am, that's exactly the kind I'm talking about. I don't know that it's really legal per se... but I think they have to do a raid to find them doing anything illegal, because from the outside, it's just a plain old massage place (albeit with a strongly Asian slant -- don't blame me, it's true!!! pictures of geishas and stuff. it's like it's code or something!!)

The main drag here is Kennedy Blvd, that's where most of them are concentrated, and my friend's husband calls it "Jack Off Kennedy Blvd." So bad, but so true!
