I hated a lot of food but I like them now...broccoli, cauliflower, garlic and fish.
I still hate zucchini!

Seafood (particularly shellfish) and avocado.
I've come around to occasionally eating fish, and have also have around to olives, hot dogs, grits, and mustard.

I hate brussel sprouts. I've tried to like them, tried them cooked all different ways, and I just can't do it. That's about the only thing I can think of that I haven't grown to like.
ETA: Someone else made me remember I can't stand coconut. Don't like the real stuff or the flavor. Blech.
bananas / 9973 posts
I always have, and still hate Bananas.
I hated Coconut with a passion until several years ago. Now, I can enjoy some things with it, and love coconut water!

Banana moon pies, olives, seafood, grits, and oatmeal (unless it's blueberry oatmeal).

I have always hated sharp cheeses and most other dairy
Including milk. I still don't drink it. I will try to eat some yogurt but must hide it in smoothies and smother it with granola and fruit. I definitely can't do the Greek yogurt thing. It's so disgusting to me,

Liver, pickled beets, olives, pumpkin pie, creamed corn, canned corn. and peanut butter and jelly.

Mushrooms. Ugh... I just can't stand them. Oddly enough, I am okay with fresh truffles, or so we recently discovered.

Shepherd's Pie! I like everything in it, but I hate it all mixed together!
cantaloupe / 6800 posts
Just about everything I hated as a child. I am either really picky or really not open to trying new things

Cooked carrots (like boiled...sometimes roasted are ok). Actually my mom asked me a couple months ago if I still hate them...DH is disappointed. Apparently he likes cooked carrots.

I was always a good eater, but I hated carrots, cucumbers, and baked beans. Still hate all three!!

@MsLipGloss: how can you hate mashed potatoes???
Peas, Brussel sprouts and meatloaf.

@MrsTiz: hey, we had mrstiz's pork for dinner and it was a hit!

@Smurfette: It's the texture . . . the same reason I hate any and all kinds of gravy! I will eat other kinds of potatoes . . . fried, scalloped, baked, roasted . . . I just don't like 'em mashed.
I also strain pulp-free OJ (OMGPULP!) and will only have light lemonade (from Chick Fil A) if I can see that the dispenser is not more than half empty.

@MsLipGloss: I love me some mashed potatoes. Although my thighs would be better off if I didn't.
Do you never order Lemonade through the drive through?
GOLD / pineapple / 12662 posts
@Smurfette: Not if I can avoid it! I usually opt for a Diet Coke from the drive through, unless I am in dire straits for some lemonade!

Ham, I've hated it since my very first bite. I love Italian-style cured pig like prosciutto, speck, etc but can't abide American-style ones.
Hot dogs, another thing I've never ever liked. Weirdly, I love tofu pups.
Certain seafoods like mussels and scallops, it's a texture thing. I can sometimes handle clams and have recently learned to sort of like oysters on the half shell (pre-pregnancy) but it depends on my mood.
papaya / 10473 posts
Mayonnaise, deli meat, tater tots, raw onions, and almost all pre-made frozen things like frozen dinners, Stouffers lasagna, etc.
pear / 1787 posts
I still don't like ham, seafood, Asian food, olives, mushrooms...I'm sure I'm forgetting some.
pear / 1609 posts
@MsLipGloss: I hate mashed potatoes too. It's definitely the texture!
I don't like celery, corn or peas!
