I think the about of tan maybe what is throwing things off. Add in some color some where and I think it would look great!

I think they're a nice neutral curtain, but since your walls and chair is so neutral, the curtains would probably look really nice as your punch of color if everything else in the room is very neutral too.

I think you should get them in blue. Too much beige/tan for me. Or paint the room, but exchanging the curtains sounds way easier!

I know you didn't ask this, but I'd also raise the curtain rod to closer to the ceiling (so you'd need longer curtains). It would make the window look so much bigger and the ceiling so much taller! I did this once, and it was crazy the difference it made.

I like the curtains some, but I don't care for the brown/brown match between them and the walls. If I couldn't change either, I'd put some nice color on the walls to brighten it up.
