So random, but another thread got me thinking and I was just curious. I am a total horn-blower when I drive.

Sometimes it is to warn someone they are about to hit me (like if they are backing out of a space and don't see me, or if they try to merge into my lane and don't see me or something). But I also do it when people are being dumb. If I'm behind you at a light and the light turns green and you don't go? I'm honking. If you cut me off? I'm honking. If you are sitting blocking my way with your left turn signal on at an intersection with a sign that clearly says no left turns? You bet your ass I'm honking.

My husband used to be annoyed by this but now mostly finds it funny. He'll honk to avoid someone hitting him but otherwise he doesn't see the point. My point is though--- if you're being an ass you should know about it. And maybe if more people honked when other people were being stupid, people would try a little harder to be less stupid when they're driving.

So, that's my philosophy. How about you?
