I've always used maxi pads my whole life. On the rare occassion, I will use a tampon (like when I'm going swimming or something). But I'm definitely more of a maxi pads girl.
How about you?

I go back and forth. Whenever I use tampons I think to myself "I should just do this every time, I don't know why I don't". I think some periods I just feel so yucky that I don't want to bother with the tampon process. But feeling cleaner is so worth it.

I didn't start using tampons until I went to college. Boy, was that a life-altering decision! I've tried to go back to pads a couple of times when my cramps are really intense--but it always feels gross to me, like I can feel myself oozing. Haha. That was way TMI.

I was a tampons girl until I got the Diva Cup. I'm a Diva cup girl. Sometimes I miss tampons and maxi pads, so I'll go back to them for a day. Then I'll remember why I love my Diva Cup.

Oh god I haven't used pads since I was 15, I'd say, I hated the feckin things. Thank the light for tampons. I'd go so far as to say its an aspect of post partum time I'm not looking forward to, needing pads for miscellaneous bleeding!

Tampons are life altering. I can't imagine going back to maxi pads.

Tampons the way! I just like feeling cleaner!

I used to be all about maxi pads because I had a really bad experience with tampons when I was a teenager. My sister was trying to tell me how to use them and somehow I ended up with 2 tampons in me and one with the cardboard still on! Don't ask me how it happened, I have no idea. I was like 14 at the time.
Now, I love tampons! Its so much cleaner feeling.

@abbydabbydoodlebug: HAHAHA! Sorry, that sounds horrible, but also hysterical.
When my friend was a teenager (and they gave out free tampons/pads in school) she shoved a tampon in her to see how it would feel (did not have her period) and she couldn't get it out so her Mom had to help her pull it out!

@mrsjazz: @abbydabbydoodlebug: I love tampon horror stories! LOL!

I use both. If I just use a tampon I have to change it every half hour it seems like the first couple days. Plus I get so paranoid about bleeding through my undies and into my clothes and someone seeing. With both I don't worry about it as much.

I can not remember the last time I used a pad. I am a tampon girl all the way.

@oliviaoblivia: First time I tried one I didn't put it all the way in and walked around my house with it half-in for a few hours. It traumatized me so badly I didn't try again for like 7 years.
I've heard horror stories of someone who forgets they have one in and put a fresh one in.... and they have to go to the hospital!

I am a tampon girl as well! I hate the feeling of pads, and I am totally not looking forward to having to wear them for post-partum bleeding!

Tampon girl... but I like to wear thin maxi pads at night when I sleep.

I used tampons almost exclusively, then I gave birth. I wasn't able to use tampons for about a year, they never felt right. Now I am back to normal, finally, and back to my tampons.

Tampon girl from almost day one - definitely started using them the first time I had my period. I hate the feeling of wearing a pad. But now I'm also a diva cup girl, even better than tampons IMO.

I've never ever used a pad, went straight to tampons from the get-go. I've had a procedure done where I was required to wear a pad for 2 days..... urgh. Lets just say I'm not looking forward to post partum!

I tried using tampons but never quite got the hang of it. I'm a maxi pad girl all the way.

I dont use tampons. I tried as a teenager but felt really weirded out by the whole concept. I use Always ultra thin with wings. are those considered maxi pads?

Tampons! I can't stand pads. I haven't used one since the first time I got my period when I was 13.

I was tampons 100% pretty much from the beginning. It seemed like what the "cool girls" did. But lately my periods have been light because of my BCP, so I just use a sturdy pantiliner. It makes my cramps less intense, and I feel like its healthier.

Hate tampons. I'm always scared they won't work,, so even if I did wear one I'd wear a panty liner too. So I just gave up and only do pads.

I've never been a tampon fan. It just never really worked for me. Altho most gal pals swear by them.

Tampons. I can't stand pads, I feel like I'm wearing a diaper.

Pads. I can't use tampons - for some reason, they always burn and sting (weird, I know, right?). Plus, I usually bleed too much, and would end up changing it alllll the time.
coconut / 8299 posts
I bleed too much too and the tampons that I've used (on the rare occassion) never held enough for me.
