Our friends daughter is turning 3 next month. We always go to her birthday parties. I'm at a loss for gift ideas this time. Mom said she has a ton of toys and suggested clothes. Is that lame? Are there any good toys that don't take up a ton of space?

Crafts are always great gifts! Gives them something to do and doesn't take up space!

She loves her tutu skirts. she has both colors books, play dough set, arts and crafts.

@LindsayInNY: this book! It's called "lost my name" and you personalize it with the kid's name. We have one for both of our kids and just ordered one for a little girl who is about to turn 3. You can preview the whole book online with the child's name. They are really cute and delivery is pretty fast.
