Mostly for children's clothes... I buy some stuff on eBay but was wondering if there are other buy/sell groups on FB you might recommend?

I follow lots of pre-loved clothing shops on IG and plan on selling a few things on Pepper's page.

YES! Boden, Gap, Matilda Jane, Janie and Jack, etc. When I have the time I do buy and sell in those groups on fb. Its been great. So far not a bad experience and I get much more then I would have via consigning. And I've saved a lot by buying on there too. Just make sure everything is done via Paypal and nothing is "gifted".

Wait, are these groups outside of local groups? For just kids clothes?

@beesknees: Oh cool! I'll have to take a look - did you just do a search on FB for resell groups??

I'm only a part of some Tea Collection BST groups and a Mini Boden group. It's tough to keep track of all of them!

@pinkcupcake
well basically I tend to stick to a few different brands for clothes so I sought those out on fb. Usually search words like "boden bst" (stands for buy sell trade).
request to join, a lot of groups are private. Then once in usually there will be a document on what their buying/selling guide is.
Then you just snap a picture of your item with condition, price and size. And see if anyone buys it. I run every thing through paypal, that way there is buyer/seller protection, and you can print mailing labels. I also bought some really cheap polymailers from ebay, so that is super easy to pop item in the mail.
It is more work then just dropping off at consignment or purchasing straight from store. But right now I have the time, and I think its kind of fun too! i'm sure it will get old for me sometime, but til then I am enjoying it.

@bao yes these are groups outside of local groups just for kids clothes. I know it sounds a little "whaaaa" thats what I thought at first too. but its been a great way to recycle my money, help out other mama's and shop without leaving home. (I don't have good stores besides Target near me)

Yes, same Tea BST groups and Boden group as @T-Mom: Also a Janie & Jack and a Baby Gap group. Oh, and 2 Livie & Luca groups. I used to be a member of some cloth diaper groups. All good experiences so far.

Oh yes! I sell and buy a TON on Facebook groups. Shipping is awesome cause I just use a food scale and poly mailers I purchase on Amazon, print my label from Paypal and drop it in the mailbox.

@78h2o: I wish our DDs were closer in size and then we could skip the middle man

If you have IG, I think that's the way to go! I just started an IG account for selling/buying and I take pictures and list there. It's super easy to do. I invoice people and buy the postage through PayPal.
I also follow a ton of shops, and I've been mildly obsessed with buying him stuff on there. It's so addicting because people are constantly posting!

@Pepper: Do you mind sharing boy shops on IG? I follow awesome girl shops but haven't come across many boys ones and have a little man arriving soon.

@emg86: I'll wall you my shopping IG account, and you can look at the people I'm following! 80% of them are boy clothes resale shops, or IG stores that sell new boys stuff (like Finomenon Kids, Whistle and Flute, Prefresh).
@grizz: Sure

Do you have any local FB ones that you can join? The community I live in and most of the ones around me all have buy & sell groups on FB and they are awesome! I have bought and sold so many things on there.

On FB I'm part of several. A wrap group, a wholesale group (haven't bought anything yet, but it's fun to watch the RANDOM stuff they get at great prices!), 2 Tiny Toms groups (thanks to the thread yesterday!), and 2 local buy/sell groups - one for kids and one for home/misc stuff.
Haven't gotten into the IG ones because things move too fast there! My feed is constantly moving so I wouldn't be able to keep up
