I had to get some blood drawn today and I waited a long time because the woman ahead of me was having a meltdown. Two nurses had to hold her down and she was hyperventilating at the sight of the needle. I was panicked for her!

yes - I would be that woman. I hear the drawer open to get the needle out and I start to have a panic attack.

A little bit afraid...but mostly it makes me uncomfortable. If I wasn't in so much freaking pain I would have never gotten an epidural lol

I used to have major meltdowns. I had a lot of surgeries and was in the hospital frequently as a child and it basically scarred me for life. However, last year I miscarried and had weekly blood draws because it took forever for my hcg levels to go down even though I had a D&C. I eventually got used to it. Now I watch them stick the needle in and it doesn't even bother me. I have tiny baby veins and it always takes them 15-20 min and a couple sticks to get it right. I guess it's good that I'm over it now that I'm pregnant again.

No, not really. I won't look at it while it's being done but needles and having shots don't bother me.

I didn't used to be, but lately I've been having a rough go. I have really small veins and after being poked numerous times I passed out once last year. now I keep worrying that I will pass out again!

No. I've gotten acupuncture and lots of ivs in the middle of an awful migraine while at the er. Both of these things make me happy about needles.

I use to be just like that woman. Once I got pregnant with DS1 I got over it. They don't bother me at all now.

I had needle problems until I went through IVF. I learned quickly that I had to get over my needle phobia.

Yes! I am not quite that bad anymore but close to it. I can't even bear other people dealing with needles it makes me sick to my stomach.

I got over any issues I had with needles quite quickly with going through IVF. Now, I could stab myself in my sleep & don't give a thought to giving my arm over to the nurse.

I was that woman until I had to go through fertility treatments. I got used to having my blood taken very quickly! Having a spinal done was a breeze.
I had my blood taken a few weeks ago & I nearly fainted. I saw the vials (7!) and started getting hot and sweaty. I guess I'm back to being a wimp

I can't watch when I have blood drawn but it doesn't bother me any more. I have to give myself shots once a month and my migraine rescue medication is an injectable. I've gotten used to it but my poor husband still can't quite take seeing me do it. I have to go in the other room. Heaven help us when we go through IVF.
