I'm a little embarrassed to admit this but I've been basically panicking about nuclear war for a week. Like reading survivalist message boards, buying supplies (nothing too serious here. A wind up radio, and a portable water filter, the life straw, and other basic things), and figuring out a plan where we could go (you have about 15min if you are not obliterated immediately to hunker down for a few days away from the radioactive fallout) (we would grab supplies and stay in our storage unit in the basement of our apartment building- no windows and behind lots of concrete)
The amount of emotional and metal space this takes up is probably unhealthy. I've been on the verge of panic attacks several times a day, but I just can't shake the feeling. Of course, today's news is fueling the anxiety fire.
Anyone else as crazy as me?
Trump's twitter war with Kim Jung Un gives me anxiety.
I'm also worried, but not enough to plan seriously. I think if I wasn't so busy with our home renovations, I would have a decent stockpile. I'm off to look up life straws ...
