YES!!!! Although she hates it more than getting shots, I think. I find it secretly satisfying.

I did my Neti Pot today and I was amazed at how mud how much I blew my own nose!

@JoJoGirl: I actually tried to get my toddler to try the neti pot but it didn't work. She will have to stick to the saline spray for a while.

Sadie's nostrils are too little for the nosefrida! I try it every time, but can't really get it in there. I only ever get a tiny bit. I get way more with the bulb, because I can put it up in there. It's disappointing... I want to get all that snot out too!

@photojane: You don't put it in her nostril. Just put on the outside and make a seal, and suck.

@Smurfette: I must be doing something wrong...? I never get much at all!

Yes!! It's insane. But I agree that it's satisfying. DH did it yesterday while he was home with her and I asked him to send me a pic...he thinks I am disgusting. And he said no!

I want to get a NoseFrida but I can't get past the gross factor. Lol.
But today I struggled with the silly bulb and LO still sounded stuffy. I will probably end up getting one.

Yes- I was just thinking that this morning.
@photojane: you have to suck so hard it hurts your chest. Seriously.
@lawbee11: Dh thinks it's so gross he wouldn't even look while he was holding her arms down, then got upset because there was snot on the tip of her nose before I wiped it again. I was like, ok really? Man up, I'm the one that just sucked it out!!

@Danizaur: You must get one; it's a lifesaver. The bulb does nothing...plus, have you seen the pics of one of the bulbs cut in half and what's on the inside? Talk about gross!!

@Smurfette: I just bought a NF and have yet to use it. So confused I watched yt videos and everyone is sticking it up the nostril but the box says what you said to do.
How do you suck the snot out if it isn't in the nose? I'm trying to envision it...

@matador84: I just put the tip right at the nostril, and it makes a seal. I have stuck it in her nose before and her nose was so runny after that I thought I broke her. Haha. You have to suck really hard.

I still need to purchase a Nose Freida, I have a battery powered nose sucker, but she's starting to hate it. I can't get over the gross factor though...at all.

DH nixed this purchase he was just too grossed out. Looks like I'm going to have to get one anyways.

@LuLu Mom: Once you do it isn't that bad at all. There is NO way that you are going to get that much snot to fill up the whole thing, so there is no chance of it going in your mouth.
wonderful cherry / 21504 posts
@Smurfette: well... Just because it won't fill up the blue part, that doesn't mean the snot can't hit the filter. I definitely had to change the filter thing this morning because I sucked so hard- and I'm thankful that it was there and worked!!
@LuLu Mom: it is totally gross. But we all do a lot of gross things for our little ones so just add it to the list. Some of C's poops are way worse than this.
GOLD / wonderful coconut / 33402 posts
@Foodnerd81: True, but that hasn't ever happened to me.
And I agree, the poop is worse.
