I'm packing for our weekend trip and DH keeps telling me to take things out of the suitcase. I'm a total over packer! Are you an over packer or do you keep it simple?

We're going away for 2 nights, I'm almost embarassed about what we're rolling in with

Yes, yes I am. Always have been. Always will be. I have accepted it and moved on, so has DH

I used to be, but I pack super light now.
When it comes to the kids I over pack because you never know!

I don't keep anything simple and I overpack!

I overpack, and I have no clue how I can fit a week's worth of clothes in a carry on. DH wants us to pack light.

Yep, but I still keep it all in one suitcase (I could probably pack in a carryon without things like make-up & hair product... & shoes)! I just like my options! lol

I am a prepared packer. DH, on the other hand, is a terrible overpacker. Drives me crazy.

Not really. I'm really good at fitting everything into a carry-on suitcase, no matter how long the trip is! I've actually become an under-packer the past couple of years and i'll have like 3 bottoms and 1 tee shirt somehow. :/. Now with K though, I'm sure I'll overpack for her! Our first weekend away I sure did overpack clothes and diapers, but I'd rather be safe than sorry.

Yes! I always overpack. I can't help it. If I try to keep it simple I panic and pack more at the last minute.

My overpacking skills are legendary. Even when I try to edit what I pack my suitcase stills ends up right at 50.0 pounds when it's weighed at the airport.

Totally! I know that even when I fill my biggest suitcase it will still be under the weight limit, so I always take as much as possible... I panic at the thought of not having enough of something or the right kind of clothes for a situation. Tbh I usually end up taking up some of DH's case as well!

After years on the road, I've mastered this. I totally over pack, but since I've learned to make an absurd amount of stuff fit into one carry-on bag, no one ever knows!

It depends...I am pretty good about adhering to the weight restrictions on checked baggage (I have a luggage scale) and I plan obsessively, but I always bring extra, just in case.

No on over packing, but I over plan. So there's always at least one outfit that doesn't get worn.

i used to be, but now i just tell myself i'll buy it there if i forget it...or that i can wear the same outfit twice in one vacation...or that i only need 2 pairs of shoes (dress, casual/comfy).
