AJsmommy had a great quote about when you know you're getting old: "When you realize you're closer to aarp than your college graduation."
I just looked it up and "anyone 50 or over can get all the great benefits of membership in AARP for only $16 a year." Wow it's not even close - I'm 20 years out of college, and only 8 years from AARP!

I guess I'm lucky that I did my master's in my 30s so I'm closer to that than AARP! 5 years from that degree and still 13ish to AARP. If I hadn't done that degree, it would be even!

Well, for undergrad I was class of 99, but I did a part time masters which was completed in 2007. So it's either 17 years or 9 years since my last graduation, depending on how you count it.
I will turn 50 in 11 years.
