I'm just curious how many parents are certified in CPR/First Aid. I was certified a few years back but haven't renewed it. I do know what I am doing though, as I saved LO2's life just a few months back. DH has never been certified and wasn't exactly sure what to do, and my mom doesn't know either. Two people who take care of LO's a lot. I think at least watching over a YouTube video if nothing else eases my mind, for whoever is watching my kid.

I took an infant CPR class but I'm not certified. If DD needed CPR I would know what to do.

Yes. I got my first certification when I was 17, I renewed it a few years later when I took a job working with kids at the school district. Ever since it's been kept up to date, and will be forever now that I'm about to graduate nursing school
At 13 years old I performed the infant heimlich maneuver while babysitting and I knew what I was doing. -

I'm adult CPR certified because I was/am a part of my Medical Emergency response team at work for the past 5 years. They touched on kid and infant CPR by request. I do have a certification for the adult portion. Not sure if my certificate says I'm infant and children certified. I forget when my cert expires but since I was on mat leave during our annual CPR training, not sure if I'm still certified.
Anyway, I watched an infant CPR video when I was in the NICU and practiced in front of nurse before the babies came home.

I lifeguarded for years and was certified but my certs have been expired for 7+ years. I reread the ratios every now and then just to be sure!

Yup. My work brings a company in to certify us in a variety of things and CPR is one of them. They didn't have to, but they included the infant/child training as well.

My certification expired, but not too long ago so I know what I'm doing. DH is still current because of his job. So, I feel like we are okay.

I was certified for infants before my first kid was born, but it's been over 6 years since then!

We got certified before Xander was born, but since it's been over 2 years, we're technically not up to date anymore. But I still feel pretty confident that I know what to do.

I used to be and I plan on getting re-certified this year at the hospital. I see it done often, but that doesn't mean anything
