I finally saw the first episode last night. I was really entertained by it....but today was sweeping and thinking about it and some of it really annoyed me. I feel like Sherlock has become too invincible. I don't mind if he always wins, or whatever, but so far he hasn't even faced a worthy opponent. All of the opponents in this iteration are madly in love with him--Irene and Moriarty for example just falling all over to get a piece of him. I am ready for someone who actually poses a challenge. I feel like the villains are always trying to bait Sherlock, instead of just doing bad stuff and Sherlock is assigned to catch them. It makes Sherlock the focus of the story instead of the mystery itself.

Also I think Watson is just a pitiful character. The way Sherlock yanked him around in this episode at the end was really annoying. He is like a pathetic puppy dog. In some ways I actually like the Guy Ritchie version better because at least Watson has a little backbone.

I also was so embarrassed by the Molly character that I had to look away a few times. That character has so little dignity (frankly, none of the women on that show have any dignity) that it was painful to watch!

ok, end rant! I still found it highly entertaining!
