When the girl who hands out our cheques comes around I usually say "yay! money!" but that's about it. I don't think of it otherwise.

YES. My office changed from paydays every Friday to bi-weekly while I was gone on maternity leave so I will be back at work three entire weeks before I see my first paycheck. I would have budgeted differently if I had known that!

Yes I love it, even though it should be called Pass through day. Just passes through the checking account too easily these days.

No, I'm not even sure when it is. Its direct deposit, and DH handles all the budgeting/bill paying. I don't make enough to get excited about it

Yes, I am always excited for payday. DH and I alternate bi-weekly paychecks so one of us gets paid every week. We don't make a heckuva lot of money, so every payday is appreciated!!

We both have our paychecks direct deposited...I feel like that takes a little bit of the fun out of it, but I do like how everyone at work seems to be in a better mood on paydays!

Always! I love puting money into our savings account because it's one step closer to IVF.

It's directly deposited so I honestly don't think of it. I rarely check our bank account so they could not pay me and I wouldn't know. It's terrible...I need to keep a closer eye.

@LMOG47: I'm the same way! A group of folks that I'm training at work were just talking about how often they check their accounts online, or if they balance it regularly in their check registry. Most people said they check their balance online a few times a day....I'm feeling ahead of the game if I check it three times a month! My husband and I are both salaried, and our expenses are pretty constant each month...so I suppose that makes a difference?

YES! We got our checks yesterday and so much of it's already allocated for bills. I am looking forward to our tax return more.

I always get excited for payday! We don't live paycheck to paycheck but it's always nice to see the bank account buffer again.

@sophia I'm right there with you! I honestly don't think about it since everything is automatic. My co-workers get excited about payday & one of them is always checking her bank account. The only time it caused me grief was a while back when I paid a cc (store acct opened for the pts) off online & later found out the payment was rejected. They asked me "didn't you see the payment didn't come out of your bank acct?!" Ummm...no, when I pd it & received the confirmation # I assumed it was paid.
