I have a fantastic boss who I absolutely adore. Though I've been with the company for 11 years, this is my first Christmas with her as my boss. We don't work in the same office, but I think I'd like to get her something small. Is this appropriate? What are you getting your boss if you're getting him/her a gift?

My senior partners are a married couple and I got them a Keurig. It was seriously a bigger hit than I could have ever imagined. They were PUMPED.

We are a small office of 9, so we all chipped in (LOVE the Chip in) and one of the girls made a gift basket for her.

Yup. I also had photo books made for both sets of grandparents. They always go above and beyond for me so it is nice to give back when I can

I work in two offices. One office we don't get our boss anything, but will probably chip into the other offices gifts.

Nope! Really can't stand my boss (no one can!) so no one gives him a gift. When we had our other boss we each chipped in and got a gift card for him, but I don't think we're doing that for this one.

I just gave mine a Christmas card, but I only work a few hours a week so we don't work directly together every day.

I work across Eastern Canada. I bought a gift for all of the admins in my "home" office, as well as some key people in other markets I deal with every single day, and my two managers. Everyone got the same thing - locally made maple syrup.

Nope. I was always taught to gift "down," not "up" so I won't be giving my boss anything.

We all pitched in for a gift for big boss, and I got my reporting boss a golf towel.

no... although I do really, really like him I think I'd be the only one and we are a tiny office so it might be awkward.

Just got him cashews from Fannie May. He got me chocolate covered pretzels from Fannie May. There's a joke in there somewhere. Either way, it's always nice. Last year, I got a box of chocolates from him from Fannie May. I brought them with me to my parents' house where they were enjoyed.

My office is small - but part of a large overall organization - and I technically have two bosses. I gifted the the department director perfume, and the other {who oversees the organization as a whole} a nice bottle of wine.
