Nope. I've always been one of those people who has a limited group of very close friends rather than a large group of acquaintances.

No, I suck at small talk, I like my friendships all in! I have had the same group of friends for years and know I can trust and confide in them. When in situations where I'm around acquaintances such as weddings or birthday parties I always feel a little awkward and never know what the right thing is to say! It's even harder now that at these things I'm sober and everyone else is usually drinking!

I'm pretty good at it cause I like to small talk. Sometimes I'd rather small talk and have casual acquaintences because it's less pressure to hang out or commit. I have my core group of girlfriends that I'm super close to (whenever I need closeness) but sometimes it's fun to hang out with just casual friends when you want to go out and talk about nothing. As long as it's pretty mutually understood that we're just casual friends, I think it's fun and refreshing. Kinda like casual dating with no expectations!
