I did great with it during drivers training but I'm nervous to do it in real life unless there is tons of space, which there usually isn't

Yep! Passed with flying colors and lived in college town where this feat was a necessity!

Nooo. And they didn't make me do it on my driver's test! I don't know if they forgot or...?

I successfully parked my huge minivan the other day, so yes. All my years of street parking only living in the Northeast trained me well...

Yup! I went to school right in Boston and lived in downtown for a little. I even shocked myself with some of the spots I could squeeze into.

Nope, I never really learned how to do it, and I avoid it like the plague.

I am, but my H is terrible. Too bad I hate driving so he's always the one who drives and therefore always the one who parks haha.

Yes; I am a BOSS at parallel parking! Even mah dad told me he was impressed with my parking skills! It's easy with an SUV though!

I do it at least 3-5 times a day. Have even mastered the art of doing it with a 3 row SUV. I started off scared, but now, I don't worry about it at all.

I was a gun with our ford fiesta, but since we upgraded to a Mazda cx5 I've been having some teething pains. The bigger & boxier shape throws me off every time. But I used to take great pride in my skillz!

I used to be! But I never use the skill - so when I do have to, I panic.

Yes!!! My husband says I'm a "parking ninja". Several years of living in the city and fighting for a spot every night taught me some serious skills. If there is a total of 6" space beyond my car, I can wiggle my way in there!

I'm hit and miss. I'll be awesome for a long time, but then have a weeks-long streak where I fail every time.
When I was in driver's ed, my instructor would take us to my town's main street, which is where a lot of rich people hung out. He'd always search for a spot between two luxury vehicles and tell you to park there. The whole time he'd be chanting "look at what you're gonna hit! look at what you're gonna hit!" We learned real fast, haha.

No way! Haven't done it since my drivers test! I just drive in to the spot and adjust.. luckily my car isn't huge!

@sunny: me too. I think that all the other drivers and people on the street are judging and laughing at me (which, let's be honest, they probably are--I know I do).

Really good! I had lots of practice in college!

I used to parallel park all the time in college, but I could only park on my left side. Something about the right always made me nervous and mess up.

Yup. You have to when you live in a city. My dh even says I'm a better parallel Parker than him.

I used to be better at it when living in a bigger city, but now I never have to do it so I'm sure if I tried it'd be a disaster!

I'm pretty good. Although, I think I'm better when I'm not so confident. Wish I go back to those days.
