I like our current apartment ok... in a perfect world, we'd have one more room so we could turn it into an office!

One more room would be nice since our office is now the nursery... But I love our cozy home and quiet neighbourhood.

I just wish our 2nd bathroom had double sinks. Other than that, I'm pretty happy here.

We LOVE our location and our place is fine. But it's small and there are issues with the layout, mold, heat, etc. We'll be here for a while longer though as DH's job opportunity with us moving fell through.

I do really like it! We've only been here 6 weeks, but so far, it's really easy to live in. We had a few maintenance issues, but they've all been resolved in a timely manner. It's not big enough for us to stay forever, but I'm happy where we are for now.
If I could change one thing, it would be for people to be better at picking up after their dogs outside.

@LovelyPlum: thanks. Haven't talked about it here but we're pretty bummed. Still reeling from it all as it was less than 48 hours ago that we were given the news. I guess that's life when you're talking about government jobs. Just didn't think it would happen to us.

@birdofafeather: sorry
No, but I despise moving, so we're staying out until we buy.

Yea I really like it, I would add a bathroom upstairs if I could though.

I'm am.... For now. But we will outgrow it soon so we've been looking to a buy a bigger place. But we are taking our time and being picky since we're happy in our current home as long as we don't pop out another kid!

Yes, I love love love our home. It could easily be our forever home, as long as we don't have to move to another city for Dhs. job

We've lived in our current apartment for about 3 years and over this winter i've fallen out of love with it. It's just a little too small and my neighbors are a pain sometimes. And although I love my neighborhood, the subway construction is getting to be a bit much. I am looking forward to moving in the summer.

I'm not unhappy, but I don't love it. Too small and I want to buy so I feel like I can take care of annoyances and not be stuck with them!

@birdofafeather: Oh no... I'm so sorry. I'll be praying for a new opportunity to open up!

We're happy here. It's plenty for us right now, and it's a big step up from where we used to live. But, in a couple years, I'll definitely be ready for a bigger house!

Yup! We have lots of space for us and the two kids. Our neighborhood is nice and convenient. Schools are good.

We are slowly renovating the house and I've been feeling happier with it each time we check something off the list. There are things that I really love about it (the size is manageable, two full baths, cozy basement) and things that I will love more when we get them to where we want them to be (kitchen and bath renos!).

No...I love the school district and the house is an ok size for now. But the kitchen cabinets are original (1971) and the bathrooms are small. I cannot wait until we can afford to buy a bigger house in the same area.

It's okay! There are several things I would like to update and I really wish we had an extra garage space. I don't think it's our forever home.

Eh, happyish. We'd both like to buy a new house but it's not in the cards right now with two babies and SAH in the near future. We hope to be in our forever home in about 5 years!

Love it just wish our basement was finished already.

We are only living in nm for a year so are renting the house we are in until August. We like it in a lot of ways - we have more than enough room (4 bdrm perfect for guests and a playroom) and great outdoor space but it's a rental and could be kept up better. Also it's adobe and I feel like it's always dirty no matter how long I clean. And, our room and Ts room is sort of adjoining - separated by a bathroom - so I feel like he always hears my husband getting ready for work in the morning and wakes up.
We are hours hunting now for our next home which is fun!

Current...overall happy but I do miss living in a single family home! Apartment life has its perks (no lawn to mow or anything external to worry about) but I do miss all the space, especially now that the kids are getting older. At least one of them is in school for most of the day so it doesn't feel so crowded or crazy all the time. Some days I do look forward to the day we can go live back at our house in the states. We will but not for quite a few years. Overseas living has been great though... lots of other perks.

Nope, but it works for us now!
I do wish our rent was cheaper- if we had been able to buy something when we were pregnant, the mortgage likely would have been less than our rent- but all our offers fell through.
I like the layout of our apartment compared to other apartments. My biggest complaints are no closets outside of the bedroom, no garage parking space (it costs an extra $75/mo, so we park in a lot instead), and half the tenants smoke on their balconies or right outside their building.

I love our home but we will "need" another bedroom when we have LOs. We will probably move once more into our forever home.
pineapple / 12802 posts
NO. I mean, I really like our house but we are crammed! Despite my constant purging we just keep slowly running out of room. W need at least one more room and an office would be nice.
It doesn't really help that one of our rooms isn't used much because we just don't like it but can't afford to make it more comfortable/functional!
My in laws have a very close 'dream home' and my mil and I constantly fantasize about switching houses, which would be awesome. I just need to get my husband on board. Lol.

Our location is awesome and our apartment is mostly really nice, but we have a few issues that we have decided we can't live with and have decided to move at the beginning of the summer.

@Mrs. Pen: We are in an apartment and also have no closets outside of the bedroom and it SUCKS. I'd give a lot to have a coat closet!

It's great for now. We rent the top half of my mom's house from her. I'm in school and it's super convenient to have my mom's help with LO and it's the right amount of space for us for now. However I look forward to a time when we have our own space!

Our location is amazing. It would be nice to have another bedroom so the kids didn't have to share because they sleep much better separately. I'm not complaining though because our next place will cost three times as much for a third of the space.

I love our house and the location, though due to job changes, we might move to shorten the commute. DH doesn't like the location, so that might move things along. Our house has plenty of room, has a tiny yard but next door to a park, and has an awesome running trail that makes it so much easier for me to wrk out.
blogger / coconut / 8306 posts
I love our home. I wish it had more space, a better kitchen and better storage, but I do feel at home here. Even though we want to buy a bigger house, I know I will have a hard time leaving here!
