I really liked her 10 years ago but within the last 5 years, people talk about Beyonce like she is so much greater than she is - which I don't get, yeah Beyonce is talented and pretty but she hasn't done anything awesome.

@mrbee: using fame for something good...I suppose she supports a lot of charities but when I think of awesome, I think of Oprah!

I didn't really know people hated her either? Why do they hate her?

I don't love her music, but I don't dislike it, and I'm totally neutral about her as a person/celebrity. I haven't heard anything about her to sway me in either direction, really.

I'm not really into pop music, but I love her diva ass.

I liked her more before watching her documentary... it seemed a little over-the-top and I feel like she does everything for show. I couldn't STAND the clip of all those people at the record company having a listening session with her for her new album... bobbing their heads, etc.

I think she takes her music more seriously than it is-- it's fun, booty shaking music. Not anything deep or soulful.

I have a love/hate relationship with Beyonce. I think she's a great performer and singer and her songs are catchy, however many of her performances are copied from less known artists and she comes across as arrogant. Plus I hate Gwyneth Paltrow and they are friends so it makes me not like her sometimes. But she'll always be my eye candy.

I liked her when she was a part of Destiny's child. Now, I think she's arrogant.

I think she's ok. It's not really my style of music... that's fine, but I don't get why she's been elevated to this kind of Goddess status recently.. it's the same in the UK, sometimes I'll see a friend's Facebook status like "OMG BEYONCE!!!!111!!!" and I don't understand it.

I also think she is arrogant and over hyped. She sure can dance though!

I've seen a performance of her singing a classical French song, and it was amazing, so she does have great talent. I just think she wastes it all on her flashy show. I don't think her voice fits the style of music she does.

Team Beyonce all the way. Sure she can come off arrogant and out of touch at times,but can't the same be said for most celebrities of her caliber. I almost always have a couple of her songs on my workout mix.

@mrsjazz: Same feelings here. Love a lot of her music, think she's an amazing performer, but think she's growing increasingly arrogant and self absorbed and being friends with Goop doesn't help. The stealing of acts from smaller performers does really piss me off, though. But she is a so classy and over the top, I kind of love it all.

I used to like Beyonce until our ex-nanny talked about all these illuminati theories. haha! Then with all those news (lip syncing, partying with president and trip to Cuba...etc.) I am not sure about her anymore. I don't hate her, just not like her as I used to. There is no "good" news that she did something great for people, or did something extraordinary with her music / talent...etc.
