How did you find the group and how often do you meet up? Are there any fees?

Mops, it's 1x a month during the school year plus casual outings. I think it was $75 for the year.

MOPs through a friend and we ended up attending the church as well. Scheduled meetings 1-3 times a month.

There is a local English speaking group. It's huge (thousands of members) and they assign you to a group based on your child's age. There was a one time fee of about €35 and I've been in it for 3 years. We used to meet up weekly when the kids were infants, but everyone is back at work so it's more like mom's night every couple of months. There are also some random Facebook groups, but I only use the buy/sell ones.

There's a Mom's and More group in the area I live. I think the dues are $25 annually. I found them on facebook. They have an email listserve and an FB group and a website to sign up for events. It's been a great resource!

Yes, there's a woman who is the facilitator in getting moms with similarly aged babies together. We did pay a fee but I think there are plenty of ways to find free meet ups.
We paid for a 6 week (I think) "session" where we actually met with a licensed social worker and talked about new mom stuff. It was so so so nice. There are 10 of us.
That was 1.5 years ago and we no longer pay the fee, but we still get together monthly for dinner and email weekly, sometimes daily. We still use each other as sounding boards and to ask opinions on products and stages and so forth.
We don't always meet as a big group. Sometimes somone will say "I'm going to the park anyone want to join?" And maybe 2-3 go with LOs. Or Ive met with a couple for lunch one-on-one.
It's been great and I consider them some of my closest friends. Having women in the same boat as you is invaluable!

Yes, but it's just a Facebook group. I mainly go on to ask for local based kids ideas.

Parents of Multiples....meetings are once a month and usually include an activity. Then there are other outtings/interspersed throughout the month/year. Think it's about 45 a year. People will also post if they're going to the park, etc and people will meet up. There's also a play group once a month which is fun.

Facebook groups, but I've never been to any organized events/meet-ups.

I joined a local organization that matched us with other first time parents when LO1 was born. It had a fee of around $150. The group met weekly for awhile with a facilitator and we talked about different parenting topics. We still get together every so often now but it's mostly the moms since the kids all have different schedules.
